"This video is about the construction of the camera. There are still some final touches and updates that I have to complete so a future video will be made showing the camera in use along with examples of photographs made with it so stay tuned."

sliding table tracks ! Really helpful thanks. I have an old process camera, looks similar to the one you showed, but mine doesn't have a base / focus systemand I've been wondering how I fix that. You just gave me a bunch of ideas. Thanks again.
Beautiful work, that would be awesome if you make videos about the use.
I cant wait seeing you loading a 36 exposure film in that monster.
We'll I've taken the camera apart and plan to rebuild it at some point but I have considered loading it with a ton of rolls all lined up. Some interesting work has been done like that. Overall though, I don't use film and 20x24 roll film is definitely not a thing!
Francesco,
interesting and significant project, congratulations.
Thank you for providing your insight on your decisions and efforts.
Let us know how you make out with it,
Len
Thanks for watching and yep will do. The camera is about 95% done but I may jump to disassemble and rebuild it since I have much better tools now. Too many projects for now so this one is back in the queue for now.

As impressive as your camera might be, I think for my own requirements, I will stay with my 90+ year old 8x20 Korona as it more accurately supports my interests versus effort.
Good luck in your efforts, and best wishes
Len
Exceptional build and walkthrough. Do you have any blueprints schematics you can share?
Thanks very much. I don't have any plans of any kind. When I build I work from a general idea and my imagination and then just build as I go. In this case, I had the bellows so I just built everything around them.
Wow that camera is really beautiful.
Could you please tell me who your bellows manufacture is?
Hi. Thanks for your kind words. The bellows are made by a manufacturer in Hong Kong that I use a lot. They sell on ebay as well and that's generally the best way to reach them and buy their products. Their store on ebay is under the name ecbuyonline2008. Good luck!
Your audio levels seem really quiet in all of these videos compared to everything else on youtube.
Hello Francesco, glad I ran into your video. Sometime in the near future I’m interested in building a big panoramic camera, can pick your brains about it if you don’t mind.
I'm always down to help with projects when I'm able and time permits. Once you have a solid idea of what you're aiming for and you've researched how you'll go about it, feel free to reach out through the contact form on my website if you have specific questions that come up that I may be able to help with. Good luck!
How do you get film? Can it be purchased or do you have to get it cut from a large roll?
Film in this size can be purchased as special order but usually requires a group-buy because there is typically a minimum order and the cost is more than a luxury car. Paper can also be used which is much easier and less expensive to get I favor that more anyway at this size.
@@francescofragomeni Interesting. Thank you for answering my question.
bro! why not show us a pic?!!?!??!!??!?!? for the love of god i need to see an image.
This is outstanding, well done!!
Do you know how much it weighs without the lens?
I used to know exactly but cant remember exactly. I believe it came in at just over 50lbs. Incredibly light weight for a 20x24. Moving it was more dealing with the large awkward footprint than the weight.
