totally agreed, even tho he is our main MC, we cant be biased and mad about he cant even join the practice cuz he wasnt supposed after all

When you said "it's the other way around" about Hinata's jump height progression, it reminded me of how Furudate actually had this as one of the initial concepts in Haikyuu: not the spiker adjusting to the toss but making it be the opposite. And "proving that volleyball is way more interesting than people think" was among the main reasons why Haikyuu even happened in the first place, as Furudate has numerously stated x)
Feels great to see you so excited about this training arc, because it's immensely important and wonderfully done - quite different from the first one, but great in its own way
Playing volleyball is both, the spiker adjusting to the toss and the opposite. Some plays require literal distance, so the spiker has to move if the setter moves and sets the ball near him, some others are space-based, so the setter has to bring the ball in a particular spot and the spiker has to be there.
Everything else in the middle, as in "everything that Hinata does" is amateurish. Non judging, the opposite, this is way more realistic than any other sport show. I't's obvious, they are like 15, they can't possibly go for olympic level plays. That's what the whole training arc is about
Nishinoya is absolutely great as a libero, but he's never been to Nationals or Interhigh yet, and therefore can't be power levelled. Of course Kageyama as well, but he's a freshman. Also, on paper, Noya has been suspended. He probably got overlooked because of that alone.
the artstyle of season 4 is much closer to the manga's artstyle
19:22 exactly its a "support ending" they are giving respect to everyone involved in the sport as hinata becomes a ball boy...managers and coach fans and close family they all are very imp for a player and thus haikyuu is best in showing everything that is imp for a normal person
Everyone's reaction to Hinata sneaking into the camp kills me everytime. It gave me such bad secondhand embarrassment the first time I watched it LOL
Yuji Nishida is GOATED. Actually the entire Tokyo Olympic Ryujin Nippon line up is amazing. But especially with Nishida, Yuki Ishikawa and Ran Takahashi as spikers, the attacking power is all out!
This generation of Japan national team (RYUJIN NIPPON) is exactly Haikyuu generation. Nishida is widely compared as a real life Ushiwaka by the media because of his position and as a lefty, but his favorite character is actually Tanaka. Enjoy your reaction as always.
No one in the comments has mentioned it yet but Noya is not the best Libero that we have seen so far, its clearer in the manga but according to Noya, Yaku the libero for Nekoma is better than him. Love the videos!

True. We dont really got to see other really good libero in real match in Haikyuu up untill Season4, only Noya & Yaku also Akagi but he didnt get as much recognition as Yaku & Noya,, also we did knew that Komori is top libero but didnt get to see him in action yet
Yaku is absolutely the best libero we've seen in the whole anime. Noya hasn't even mastered overhand receives yet. And we never saw Komori in an actual match, so he's only the best because we've been told
I wish we could have truly seen how Itachiyama libero was better than Noya and Yaku. Our 2 bois are pretty impressive. I can't imagine how much better Itachiyama libero is supposed to be

i'm glad they didn't just automatically assume that washijo sensei was being 'petty' or 'bitter' with the way he reacted to hinata being there. everyone seems to overlook the fact that if that were the case tsukishima definitely wouldn't have been invited either lmao so thank you.

Ushiwaka and Sakusa are the top 3 strikers in Japan. It was never said who was above who. For all we know, Ushiwaka could actually be the best striker in Japan.
Yeah, Kuroo just said that Sakusa is in the top 3. We've seen Ushijima. We'll see Kiryu. Sadly Sakusa would be after spoilers, so...

@@minholee7291 Never was this line spoken. All you saw was a picture of Ushiwaka below the other two. It was an artistic choice to show it like that since we only knew about Ushiwaka during that time.
The Strikers were always said to be 'one of'. The only one you can compare to be below Ushiwaka and Sakusa would be Bokuto since he is top 5 and the other two are top 3.
Other than than it was never implied, as of Season 4, who is Rank 1 among the top 3.
Nishinoya is very good but Yaku (Nekoma's libero) is probably slightly better and also the libero at Kageyama's camp doesn't get a lot of mention in the anime but he gets written about in all the volleyball magazines that they read and is on the favorite team to win nationals, Itachiyama
Oikawa is a complete uknown. In his 6 years of career, he never passed the prefectural tournament. So his name never spread among the country. He was never invited to the all-japan youth camp
So to answer why Ushijima is not with Kageyama’s camp, the best way I can answer is because the camp is to help junior players “prepare” for the national team. Ushijima is a third year in higher school, which makes him either just pass or about to turn 18. So he basically bypassed that camp already and really to enter national team once he graduated. All players in Kageyama’s camp are either freshmen or sophomore in high school, Japanese high school has only three yrs just a heads up.
I wish Wakatoshi would've been in nationals camp it would be so fucking great to see sukasa and Ushijima's reunion
At this point we can already assume that he's already a member of the actual U-19 team
@@AllTheArtsy we don't even need to assume, he is! Remember that time when Suga brought a magazine to the club room about that? Wakatoshi is part of the team, he had the uniform and everything.
@@laurainathunderstorm oh that's right! I forgot about that part. For a minute I thought that was just about being in the Youth Training Camp too but no he had the national team uniform and that's why Hinata calls him Japan when he sees him in the street lol, yeah yeah you're right 😅

I'm sure others have already said this but season 4 will have moments with lower quality animation because of covid. But, in my opinion, the story is still as amazing as always. In fact, when I was watching it for the first time, I barely noticed the inconsistencies in animations and was completely sucked into the story telling.
Story wise and quality of the last match in terms of substance are top notch the animation was for sure though noticeably bad at some parts it took away from the story because it was so distracting but I agree because of covid it was unforseen circumstances and the animators deserve a break from the criticism (although I do get people who are upset about the animation like I said I thought it was really noticeable) next season I'm sure will be top notch like all the others
If you guys feel like watching some volleyball matches, the VNL (Volleyball League of Nations) is happening at this moment, and the World Cup will take place at the end of August.

Hinata loves this sport and has crazy reflexes but doesn't have a solid foundation for this game. There are lots of things him to learn about game.

Omg! I just watched this even though it was posted 7 days ago. I can't with the 2nd-hand embarassment 😅 I waited till S4E4 to be uploaded so the feelings I can get with watching E1-3 will have like a sort of "redemption" on E4.

13:00 well Hinata's ruining it for Tsukki. I like that they have no filters on his behaviour, he's acting like a spoiled brat since the first scene. The thing is, it's anime and Japan, so willpower trumps everything, so what he did was somehow to be perceived as positive. They sorta fixed the situation by not allowing him to do the camp (in any other anime, the main guy would find a way to participate no matter what), but still putting him in a position to train what he needed the most
And to clarify he's ruining it for Tsuki because Tsuki wanted to take it easy during break but now he can't even do that because Hinata is here and Hinata makes him wanna work hard lmao
@@seekittycat well, ok, that, but also: what if you won something, like a scholarship, or a meeting with a popstar.. working hard, doing all the steps... and suddenly you find there's someone else with you, who didn't deserve it? I'd be Bakugo-level furious

@@JacopoBasanisi Hinata tried to "crash" the camp, for what he got yelled at by multiple people, got rejected in the face by the coach and in the end was accepted only as a ball boy. Hinata wasn't rewarded for his behavior.
