Yep. Other than against Denver when they punted 6 times, in the 2nd half and kicked a FG after a jump ball pass interference call avoided a 7th punt. Also a Fields fumble that was lucky to be recovered. Fields is horrible in the 4th as usual.

Fields earned the job the only reason Russ got it was because he was a Vet (i like Russ and wouldn’t have been mad if he played we’d still be 2-0) but Fields was healthy got the nod and has done his job that’s all we can ask he is only 25 coming from a completely different team and system learning on the fly with a new OC on the team.

3 rookies on the OLine in the second half because Broderick Jones couldn't stop getting holding penalties. Fields had over 100 yards and 1 TD negated by penalties and if some of those don't happen/get called they would have been in the redzone on a couple more drives, so more chances to punch in a TD or two more. Granted you aren't wrong, that's still an offense problem, but for 3 rookie OLinemen holding down the line in the second half, it could have been a lot worse. If they can get gelling by midseason when they start to hit those more competitive teams, this offense with Fields could be dangerous and suddenly this team could make a deep playoff push. Still a lot of football to play, but this offense is improving.

Still one of the best two games every year, and back in 2000 I figured, well if the Steelers couldn't win it, at least I could root for a wild card team from our division once the Steelers were out (plus they had that Woodson guy). It was also fun going to Steeler Fan Club of Baltimore bars to watch (there were several).
All of that said, everybody would always hold their breath anytime Trent thought about passing, since his INTs were about equal to his TDs, and as I sit here backing in the glow of 2 & 0, I believe Justin is still perfect on 8NTs, and if the rest of the team could get their shit together and quit getting penalized, he'd probably have 3 or 4 more TDs by now. I still wanna see Russ play, but godamn, who else in the league has this problem? 😉
