@@how8765 yes it could. Not saying it is, but it could. Good EQ'ing and amplification can go a long way into making an acoustic bass guitar sound electric. See Washburn's AB series and how many people have used it in such contexts. Also, they could've gone this route instead of a full-blown upright bass simply because doing microtonal stuff in one of these (that actually sounds good) is insanely hard.
So amazing! I've been reminiscing on my favorite live shows now that they're out of the question for the foreseeable future. I saw King Gizz in Boston a few years back at the Royale and got to photograph them from the pit while my ribs were being crushed against the stage (no barrier). One of the best nights of my life.
Every time I listen to one of their albums, I'm blown away by how they manage to seamlessly blend different genres and experiment with their sound. And the fact that they release so much music just shows how dedicated they are to their craft. Love these guys! If you like this kind of music you might like a band called The Doublejumps ✌
Really nice one. Beautiful-sounding, great lyrics and those combinations of different time signatures (sometimes even simultaneously on each instrument) always keep it interesting to listen to. It was definitely worth the waiting. Now we can patiently wait a bit longer for another great tune. We're spoiled children, haha.
