The first time I did this hike it was full of mist and mystery. We said we would have to do it again and so we did. The second time, there was barely any mist but so many cicadas and butterflies! Magoebaskloof hiking is like swimming through a sea of green. If you love forests - this hike is a must. The huts are very basic though. At the end of this video we are braaing, but actually the braai was on the first night. It was a very memorably delicious dinner and the perfect way to start our adventure. Where are your favourite forest hikes in South Africa... or even the world?
Yeah we started at Woodbush and looped back via Waterfall Hut and Dokolewa Pools Hut. Exciting! Enjoy! It is an underrated South African hike. Absolutely stunning.
I love the perspectives, really an immersive experience
Beautiful, evocative, inspiring
Such a wonderful trail! Another beautiful hiking adventure and a great video about it. Fantastic!

Spectacular video! Thank you for this. We’re hiking (I think) the same trail on Thursday! Did you start at Woodbush?
