From my elementary child’s homeschool I did math, language arts, read alouds (history esp.) and fun science kits. History and science starts again from the beginning after elementary age. Concentrate on math and language arts. Yes we did some other things, my state required art, music, gym, etc., but those are easy to fit in as you go. That child is 30 now and a software engineer. He was homeschooled grades 1-8.
I have a friend who does a lot of marathons. She volunteers at the marathons & doesn't have to pay to run because of that. She's even had her hotel paid for by volunteering for out of town races. Something to look into.♥️🇨🇦
I am looking forward to seeing these video ideas- all topics of interest. I homeschooled back in the 90’s and finding our sweet spot for the balance between structure and flexibility took some time and experimenting. Fun to reminisce as I watch your homeschooling thoughts. Big fan of BJUP. I did plastic dishpans for each kid, grab and go to the lake or the orthodontist for 2 examples I remember. School went with us. If BJUP doesn’t work maybe Calvert might- similar to what you described. ABeka was another great find. I settled on Saxon math second edition but that was high school. I’ll check out the Sage channel thanks! Been enjoying Kate Kaden’s channel on budgeting- another interest- so looking forward to seeing anything you put out in the minimalist and frugal lifestyle genre. Also carnivore and keto but not strict. ❤❤❤
I don’t know how I stumbled upon your channel, but when you said, “We are not a Memoria Press family” I realized I may be in good company. 😂🙈 We tried for two years to do a full core and this year we are easing back a lot from MP. I like a lot of their things, but elements of MP also made my oldest, who is otherwise happy go lucky, despise learning. So I’m curious to see where you all end up.

Frugality, minimalism, and homeschool... those are all of my favorite types of videos 😅
Welcome back! Looking forward to the next video next week. 😊

I was only carnivore purist to heal from intestinal seizures but girl you bet I was excited to add dairy and coffee back in! 😂
So excited for a new video! Love the other video ideas! ❤️

As of right now we still use their Latin program, but we are thoroughly enjoying BJU Press. 😊
