Dame Joan Sutherland - Qui la voce, 1960 Proms

Dame Joan Sutherland sings a wonderfully fresh mad scene from Bellini's "I Puritani" with an explosive E-flat. This concert, Dame Sutherland's fifth appearance at the Proms, was broadcast live from the BBC Proms at Royal Albert Hall in August of 1960, with Basil Cameron conducting.

Anyone know what else she sang at the PROMS from this concert. I think she did Regnava silenzio, Qui la voce, Alcina's aria..there must be a few more.!! Cant wait for these gems!

INCREDIBLE recording ... as usual, Joan. :P But I think it's tuned a tad high. -- Sounds more like an E or E#, rather than an Eb. :)

Wow. She really had no equal. Astonishing. The final Eb is actually E natural however....I assume it is the recording.
