Hi Alex, loved the video. Thank you.
Thanks John and thank you for watching it... it feels like aeons ago that one now!!!! Hope all well!
I think it is the age thing I get on my knees all the time, good hunt for you well done.
do you? It looks like harder work! I will stay on me haunches for the time being! Hope all well!
@@HolzHammerSagas All good stay safe.
New sub here. As a new Deus owner, I find hearing the tones you are digging really helpful to learn the type of sounds I should be digging. I am also using Deus lite full tones on programme nine.
Thank you very much! Yes, thats what i almost always use, its the HOT programme - very good all round programme! Hope all well!
Hello Alex, The ORX is the best machine to start with, easy to use and matches Deus in power and performance. Regards Mick.
I think the crotal bell is from a horse and coach, they increased in size along the harness up to about 4" dia i believe
Just discovered your channel, really enjoy watching it. The unidentified lead artifact is the bottom of a medieval lead ampulla, scallop design. Nice find that
Thanks Carl, much appreciated and thanks for the ID - I knew I'd seen it somewhere....! Hope all well
Nice finds Alex 👍👍Stewart
Thanks Stewart - hope you are still finding good stuff!
nice one keep it up
Thanks very much - much appreciated! Hope all well
@@HolzHammerSagas yeah ok do you use hot in full tones i just started using full tones again,
I have the bigger headphones though sw4 ones you have look like maybe better,
I also have the remote as well this is good for numbers to give you idea of stuff and also the X and Y screen is pretty good gives nice lines, plus if you want to do custom programs you can switch so if you get small tone you can then go to say deep and see if it gives you a line or number.
Though i feel your pain with pull tabs far to many around,
Im still yet to get hammered or roman,
first coin spill find though one of my videos shows ,
Its good to see your using black or x35 coil most use the 9inch hf
11inch x35 is coil have so far,
@@swiftdetecting thanks for the message... part of me wants to get the remote but I know i would spend too much time with the lines and numbers! After three years with just my ears ( and like you i always use full tones) i think you get pretty good at interpreting not just the pitch of the sound but the sharpness or softeness round the edges... i think i'm pretty good at telling what stuff is ... put it this way i never dig iron unless I want to...! But i do really like the deus with the 11" ! Good luck with a hammered soon... even the cut halves and quarters can give really good sounds with the deus... i lower the reactivity to 2.5 on hot to get a ittle etra umph! Hope all well!
@@HolzHammerSagas thanks what hz you think is best for hammers ? most club land is plough noticed so far but cant get on that currently
is field i can get on though which is pasture which i feel should be something else there buttons and silver thumball so far,
that field never been ploughed at least for 60 or so years anyway.
I’d def give the deep programme a go in pasture... don’t be put of by the low ha... or use the hot programme 17khz - reactivity lowered to 2.5 or even 2... you will def notice punchier signals from small deeper targets but swing more slowly... and keep your ears open for those tiny wispy squeaks ... unmistakeable and though sometimes very deep iron... it’s also sometimes small decent targets... good luck!
I'm with the others on I'd lead pilgrims ampulla.
Enjoyed the video, just subscribed. 👍
Hi Alan, I suddeny saw I never replied to your comment! I am so sorry - anyway I agree about the lead ampulla it’s my first one so I’m quite pleased with it! Hope all well
Great episode :)
thank you very much - much appreciated!
It’s a falconry swivel
Just found your channel and I am very much enjoying your videos. I also use the Deus and the Orx, please keep the videos coming. Regards Mick.
Thanks Mick - much appreciated! I have never used the ORX but have a friend I am advising at the moment who is very keen on going straight on to a decent machine... which would you choose as a beginner, the deus or the Orx? Hope all well!
Not you being a beginner by the way... my friend is...!
Hi, just found your channel. The piece of lead at 12.05 is definitely a pilgrims ampulla.
Thanks Peter, its one of those things i knew I'd seen - I just couldn't put my finger on it as I had never found one myself! All the Best
I’m a definite kneeler. 😂 I find it harder work to crouch.
Are you??! Dont you get your knees wet and muddy... I honestly think its harder work!!! Hope all well!
@@HolzHammerSagas well, I wear either water proof or water resistant trousers, so it doesn’t bother me and getting muddy is part of the hobby. 😂😂
Cowbell (Bull) so they could easily track the bull in a herd.
Thanks Paul much appreciated ... and it’s an ampulla of course - I’ve never found one though I knew I’d seen one before - of someone else’s finds... Hope all well
What with the small spade. Young man
Hi Tim - it is a bit on the small side but it’s light and sharp...
