For all the mullet you're seeing,, next year will be more... thanks to NC making it illegal to possess a mullet for the month of November and December. Any mullet used for fishing during those 2 months has to be accompanied by a receipt of sale showing those mullet came from out of the state of NC. Guess what? Our bait supply is from Florida!
I see those regulations are for striped mullet not for silver mullet

@Freedomishere-im6ug yes,, but its easy to mistake for the stripped mullet when small. Plus, in the rules/regulations booklet, they just say "mullet". But we primarily have the stripped mullet,, the ones that migrate down to Florida.
It really sucks for us cause that is a key bait for us too!
I used to catch finger mullet in Sept October in North Carolina sometimes 2 or 3 thousand dozen a day. How are the seafood markets able to sell to there customers??
We would fill 50 120 quart coolers a day.

Just found you guys recently. Love all the videos I’ve watched. Just seem like good wholesome family oriented guys who love to fish, and eat just like us in Myrtle beach. Definitely got some beautiful water down your way little darker this way lol
I used to catch large black mullet when I was a kid in the 60's. A bread ball on a hair hook under a small bobber did the trick. The black mullet were delicious. Good job man.

Grill them scales down with a pad of butter and a spritzing of lemon pepper and they are freaking awesome. I love n NC and we eat them all the time. P.S. their roe is awesome too

During this mullet run I caught my pb 51 inch red drum and a ton of sharks all thanks to you sounds dumb but you taught me a lot❤also what is your go to knot that you tie for big fish in the surf. hey bro i love how you guys take care to observe the regulations that are in place to maintain the fish population in your country. i am from Jamaica and i do rock side fishing and we are not able to catch any decent size fish. every now and again we are lucky but that's far and in-between.
