That's great! You can always ask people to slow down by saying - ho2 m4 ho2 ji3 gong2 maan6 di1? "Could you please slow down a bit?" Feel free to ask if you have any questions. Team CantoneseClass101.com
I have a question. My ex would often argue with her siblings or uncles in Cantonese and she would say nei jou mei ahh. Also i could be pronouncing it wrong but she was also say yao mo gao cho ahh.i just would wonder what these mean?
😂 Those are accurate and used in conversation / argument very often. nei jou mei ahh is similar to "what's wrong with you?" although it also means "what are you doing?" yao mo gao cho ahh is literally "Did you get it wrong?" but we use it for any situation that is not what we expected, sort of similar to "what's wrong with you?" Feel free to ask if you have any other questions. Team CantoneseClass101.com
Many learners said the same thing, it's hard at the beginning, but you'll start hearing the different pitches the more you practice :) Keep up the good work! And feel free to ask if you have any questions! Team CantoneseClass101.com
