Yay Lila! The Gal Edition Keyboard looks sweeeeet on your desk.
You two are my go to for Premier tips. With everyone and their mother switching to Resolve, it's great to see folks still using PP. For me it just runs so much smother on my computer than DaVinci does. Keep the tutorials coming!
Listen I love ya. Everything about you and your videos are great but please breathe … there was one video you actually did and you acknowledged it even. Just please slow it down a notch. When you actually go to the drop down menu let us actually see that. It’s all way too fast. But you are engaging and wonderful, I highly doubt you’d lose any viewers if you did. I used to edit in Premiere and took a long break from video and film making, so I appreciate you. Please maybe one less cup of coffee.😅
With 20 years of Premiere editing under my belt, these videos don't usually teach me anything. But that very first one about pin to clip blew my damn mind. Bravo.

0:23 I don't use markers! But I work in news and markers are largely superfluous when working on a deadline that is 60 or 30 minutes away. However, there are several things that I'm STILL waiting for Adobe to include, which would help me out: A white box around photos (edius has this, why can't Adobe?) also a duplicate clip indicator on the timeline--if I use the same clip from the same source twice, I would like a visual cue for that. Avid has this, why can't adobe?
Keyboards are sold out! I want one! Also, I love the keyframe out of zone tip. Its going to save me hours!!

Is the enhance speech feature only available in beta?
As of right now, yes. But it will be released in the public version at some point. Not sure when! Edit: you can still go to podcast.adobe.com/enhance to enhance it there and pop it into your timeline if you don’t want to use the beta :)
Hello! I work with a lot of files, 300-400 files in a project... During the editing process, I put markers on certain files to make it easier for me when I make a teaser... question: is there any setting to let it show me only the clips that have markers? I put the markers directly on the files. Thx!
You should be able to see the markers in the market tab :) should be in the same window where you can find your effects and project files.
When your video starts with a feature that I, a premiere pro user of about 7 years, didn't know about until now, you know it's going to be a fire video 😆🔥

Are you always using the Premiere Pro BETA app, or are you only using the standard version?
Usually the public version, but enhance isn’t available in the public yet so I use beta for that

Everytime i watch your videos i feel like a student nobie :D Nice hidden features that i didn't know, especially that when i delete something and i need to do ctrl + Z there is another way. Hi Lila! I am using a Lenovo ThinkPad t14 16 ram laptop my premiere pro is lagging and showing loading and work to slow in premiere pro 2024 and i reinstalled premiere pro 2023 but still facing the same issue if any one knows please advise how to speed up my premiere pro

I’m not sure I understand. Do you mean the keyboard short cuts? Because these editing keyboards are just regular keyboards so you can use it for anything
@@lilafromyoutube Yes, so I just purchased a premiere pro shortcut keyboard (used your link!) and now I can edit premiere pro with that keyboard. But what if I want to use the same type of keyboard with shortcuts with the after effects shortcuts. I will need to buy a new keyboard. It would be nice if the keys were programmable like the Optimus Maximus keyboard for example that way as a creator you can simply switch to the different keyboard shortcuts based on what software you are using with the click of a button.

I don’t really use that option so I don’t know if there is. But you can easily create a customised keyboard shortcut :)
@@lilafromyoutube you don't?! how do you interpret 60fps footage on to 24fps timeline? you just change speed (percentage)? doesn't that make for choppy slow-mo?
@joeumali7375 nah doesn’t make it choppy. I sometimes interpret footage in case I wanna have slow motion. But sometimes I end up wanting that 50 fps clip in “real time” with audio, so I don’t just interpret footage by default.
@@lilafromyoutube i guess i'm backwards. i interpret everything that i shoot in 60p to whatever the timeline framerate is, then just change the few that i do end up using in "real time". either way, i don't mean to dismiss the tips in the video above. much appreciated.

I had a weird thing happen with the enhance speech feature the other day...I could hear the subjects voice twice...the 2nd being lower and about 5 seconds behind. Really weird. It hasn't happened since.

@@lilafromyoutube I also noticed anytime I make an edit after enhancing it has to re-enhance. Not a big deal I guess.
@@AllenRReid strange. Might be a beta-thing. I remember when it was only available on the website, it sometimes turned me into a robot but 95% was still usable. I hope they'll fix this for ya when it's released in the public version
Ok finally a tip i didnt know, ripple timeline markers,, we have been putting markers on the actual clip itself because of this problem, now we can do it to the timeline, how did i not know this. Larry

@@lilafromyoutube I need to really explore them more. I've tried a few times in haste and they didn't work as I anticipated. But as I recently tried again, I am seeing markers can be set on audio clips, video clip and timelines. Can also notate the type of marker plus add comments. I need to grab some old footage and play with them more.

I will have to disagree with the 'emptying cache' thing. Sometimes Premiere starts to behave weirdly with your project, and the only thing that solves this kind of issue is clearing the cache. And no, no duplicating files occur whatsoever.
