- Does Florida have the best shells? I certainly think so - especially here in Southwest Florida. The seashells here are beautiful and we certainly have plenty of them!

Your videos have really helped my anxiety and my dog is calm listening to you too💖 thank you for these videos of sea treasures 🥰
Everyone. Next Sunday or go back to when "Beach Time" comes along. Put in your ear buds, and listen to those waves and the wind. EXCELLENT!!! Thank you so much Sharman. Great ending to a long week. YOU ROCK!!!
Omg just did...awesome!
Wow...how awesome
THANK YOU!!! I am thrilled I can bring so many people to the beach with me!!
Hello, my Beach Angel! How happy the sound of your voice makes me! I have been looking forward to this video all week. Let's go to the beach!
Call me weird, but I really like jingles! They are so many pretty colors! Hey, that's the best Alphabet Cone I've seen in a good while. Good spotting. Another beautiful Alphabet Cone to go with the first one. Cool!
Oh, I love those big white scallops! And another gorgeous Alphabet Cone! It's your day for those, girl!
That is an amazing fossil! It looks like a Lion's Paw! How wonderful! Okay, that True Tulip is the best shell of the day, hands down! Congratulations!
I, too, am enamored with the Colorful Moon Snails. They are so lovely. The Creator must have smiled when He was making those.
Keewaydin Island is so beautiful! I may never get there but I enjoy tagging along with you, Beach Angel. Thanks for allowing me to join you!
You did make a great haul today, didn't you? I'm so happy for you, darling.
Much love to you and all my fellow would-be beach bums from here in the colorful mountains of East Tennessee. We like to say, at this season, that God laid His crazy quilts to dry upon the mountains.
Rebecca, The Lost Mermaid
I Love your quote about the "crazy quilts"! I'm a quilter, and I sooo Love the fall colors. I live in Sacramento, CA; we are a city of many, many trees. Fall is beautiful here. And, if that's not enough, we have the Foothills and the CA Nevada Sierra Mountain Range; tons of Fall Color. 😊
I'm glad I grew up in the mountains of NJ as I got to see many, many seasons of fall leaves. Now I'm happy to appreciate the green I get to see all year long! 🌴🌊🐚
I am finally feeling the chill in the air and I've already had a few chilly mornings. It's about the time of year that I dread the cold, but I anticipate how amazing the beaches are going to be. The cold winds help get those shells onto the beach so I get to win either way. If it' warmer - yay! If it's cooler - more shells and yay again! I'm such a lucky gal! ❤️❤️❤️
ittybittykittymama...I LOVE jingles, even though I know they aren't rare or unusual. I've collected them for about 5 years, and it was 3 years before I found out what they really were and how they attach themselves to rocks!
WOW!! You've outdone yourself again, Shar!! So many amazing finds. That fossil?? Incredible!! Was that a long lost Lion's paw? ...and that oyster?? YUP, you've made me jealous again!! I miss Florida so much! Thanks for taking us along, Shar. It's very much appreciated!! xx ❤
I don't think that fossil was a lion's paw, but it sure was cool. I will never stop being amazed at all the treasures the beach can provide!
@@SWFBeachLife the beach does provide but it takes a good pair of Peepers (and the knowledge) to spot the beautiful ones. ❤
Funny, I think any complete, nice colored shell is wonderful. That large true tulip you found is amazing. And it was fun to see all the hermit crabs and live critters.
I adore kitten paws
I love your tip about carrying a small Tupperware container. I never thought about doing that, thank you!
Hi Cecile, you can also purchase small, plastic compartmentalized boxes from hobby shops (think jewelry making pieces). These are great if you want to keep small shells divided by type. Sharmon's way of keeping very fragile shells is pure genius!
Nice day for a beach walk!
Beautiful haul!! 🐚
Wow AMAZING shelling that day!❤
So fun!!! How I love paper figs!!!! THAT TRUE TULIP!!! Thank you for taking me along, Great haul! Have a great week. See you Sunday! XOXO
I love when you shell Keewaydin! That fossil was cool--kind of looked like a giant kitten's paw, especially when you discovered it had both its pieces! Beautiful true tulip, too. But the murex, the moon snails, the cones....I am admiring all of them as if I am there! Great shelling!
Keewaydin is awesome! And it's always different from one trip to the next so I never know what awesome shell is going to turn up. It never disappoints!
How dare they?! A rookie shell?! 😂 Love my sundays with you. Thank you 🥰
🤣
15:28 murex made me think of the grand canyon!
Great finds today!! Paper Figs😊
Another great day, the shelling was amazing!! Thank you for sharing and starting my week off with a big smile, take care until next time
Such a wonderful walkabout today!! Those tulips were delightful. I thought one was a “chocolate” and the other was a “milk chocolate”! The water was clear and very inviting. I too love those brown pelicans!!! They fly in formation!! Hahahaha
Milk chocolate true tulip! There would be semi-sweet, dark and milk - love it!
@@SWFBeachLife ❤️
We love your videos! We lived in GA and recently moved to FL and have been visiting Tigertqil beach! Last week I found 2 piece of a Junonia! I was so stoked! Thanks for your explanation of each shell, my son now calls them by name! 😊
That's pretty awesome to even find J pieces! I haven't found one in a while. Mine is out there somewhere. I hope yours finds you soon too!
I'm happy you picked up a few kitten paws, they are so cute!
Cool fossil!!! So many great finds!
The Alphabet Cone has a 🧡 on it!!
Great treasures today!
Lol. "Designer shells"! I think they're all designers.😊 I'm pretty sure carrier shells are snails. Those were attached to a scallop. Yep. You found a pearl oyster! Can't wait for you to find one with the scaly periostricum. The fossil is cool! Looks a bit more like some kind of oyster. I knew it was going to be another "toasted coconut" LM!😂 Awesome albino nutmeg! Gorgeous TT!!!‼️Lots of ACs too! Great trip! Thanks, Sharmon! xxoo
I am so, so spoiled to live here! This was still a few days after Idalia, so the shells were still churned up a bit. Just the sheer variety of treasures makes these visits so fun!
That was a lot of Paper figs. lol. Love kitten paws, but that big one, wow. And I'll take all the "rookie" shells I can get. lol.
Would you consider going to Manasota Key north of Stump Pass Beach? I know you hand gone to Stump Pass once before... I'm wondering what a true sheller like you could find there. Love your channel, its so relaxing to watch you shell and listen to the beach sounds in the background
I recently went back to Honeymoon Island - I really wanted more turbans and I wanted my husband to see the island too, so I would very much like to hit some other beaches up North. It's nuts that beaches that are physically closer to me take me longer to drive to, but Manasota Key is only about 1.5 hours so I will likely try it up that way at some point!
Tonight was shark eye city!!! Great video!!
Ya did it again!!!
👍💯👍
Fun to see a tiny Mossy Arc.. That Fossil will be great if it is Prepped by a person with vibrating tool to reveal the underside of the shell.. Fossils are so rare in the ocean but inland they are more common.. This was afun day. thanks for taking us.. Albino was Perfect..
Cool jingle!
Awesome day!! So much fun!! ❤
Woo Hoo! "Let's go to the beach...🎶 🎵 " 🐚 😎
So many amazing shells and critters. Loved the true tulip at the end! ❤
The color on that shell is amazing!
How many wonderful shells. 🥰
Another great trip with some beautiful finds!
That was a wonderful shell day Sharmon, thanks for taking us along!
Thank you for coming!
In my humble opinion I think SWF is THE place to find best shells. Such beautiful treasures today and I don't care if they're common...I love the banded tulips! Lol!
I think, maybe, after 4 years and picking up hundreds, if not thousands of banded tulips, I might be able to leave a few at the beach. It's hard though! No two seashells are the same and I just love each and every one of them!! 🐚❤️
Yes...I love the ones that are a mix of pink and olive green...so pretty! @@SWFBeachLife
Oh my goodness!! So many shells and such great variety. So many I could practically shell with you, I could see them in the water, in the rack(sp) lines. Totally caught my breath when you pulled out the true tulip and the beautiful FL horse conch. Ok I’m ready to start planning my next trip. Keewaydin has been a goal and also Kice. My husband and I are house bound with Covid. This was a great “outing”. Thank you so much for doing this!!❤
Hope you both are feeling better soon! In the meantime, isn't it wonderful to go shelling with Sharmon!?! I Love her videos ❤
I hope you both are feeling better soon! And just wait until you see next weeks Keewaydin adventure!
Beautiful as always! I have started watching your old videos cause I love seeing your treasures. Thanks for walking for me, since I can’t do it myself any longer. Love all the shells.
Happy to bring you along on all of my adventures! Some of these places are way too pretty to not share!
Cool shells! Shelling is on my bucket list before I die to do just once.
Beautiful Shells! I wish I was there😢😂
never saw so many live shells or crabs before!
After a storm is normally a good time to see critters or at really low, low tide. I hope we get to see some cool things this winter!
What a great day you had. Every time I watch you I'm always thinking man, I would live to go shelling with you. I wonder why the rose petal talons seem to be hiding, I think they are so pretty.
They are everywhere on Fort Myers Beach but everywhere else not so much!
3:16 Wow I love Florida Fighting conch shell, I got a yellow Strombus Florida Fighting conch shell I found it in Grand Caymen Jamaica 🇯🇲 at the market, It was so nice to go on adventure with you today, so happy that you found another Florida Fighting conch at the beach today, I really love your seashells and your seashells videos, I really enjoying it so much. P.S. thank you so much for taking me sea-shelling with you that’s so much fun to go seashell also finding more seashells 😊❤❤.
I am very lucky to live here! I didn't know how much I was going to really enjoy finding things on the beach until I moved here. There are so many fascinating things to learn about!
So happy you are back on Keewaydin. I haven’t even been there but from your vlogs it’s my favorite. Going in May. I also wanted you to know in case you don’t . The Estero Condos and Tennis Club will be opening again on November 19 2023. 💃🏼💃🏼 Thank you for the as always fun live critter vlog.
That's awesome about the Estero Condos and Tennis club! I know so many places were delayed and won't open again until 2025. I hope everyone that is able can enjoy the new accomodations!
Loved it Sharmon! I missed Keewaydin this time down, darn it. Looks like so much fun. Loved the fossilized shell. You had a great trip. Beautiful shells. Thanks for the lovely "beach time" Have a great week!
I hope you have a great week too!
The banded tulip you found just after the "True Tulip" the banded has characteristics of a "Alfabet shell" don't you think?
It was definitely different than the ones I normally find!
Such great finds! Love the fossil…don’t find that often, I bet! What a great day!
Such a great day!
I'm always amazed at the incredible variety of shells you find there in FL. Thank you as always for sharing your shelling trips. From a fan in New Jersey. 🐚🦪
Stay warm beach friend!
What a great hunt today!!! It helps me to watch your videos. I'm from there and miss it but this is a way I can walk the beach living vicariously through you❤
When I was in the process of moving here I was desperate to know what was going on at the beach. I'm happy I can keep you in touch with this awesome part of Florida while you're away!
I am so happy you make these’d videos. I would love to live there and spend my days beach combing. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoy it!
I love the big white bay scallop. I love their perfection. 🐚🐌🦀
Brilliant and wonderful as always. Such lovely islands, if it wasn’t for the blimming heat..🫠🫠 stay safe xx
It's almost your time of year down here! It was 50 degrees F last week on one of my tours. I froze my tail off! 🥰
Have you ever found a Geonia. I've been watching you for years now. I absolutely love watching your Sunday video . ❤
I have not found my junonia yet. They say it finds you, so I guess it's still looking for me 😂
That fossily is awesome!
I love paper figs! I think it’s because they are so delicate looking. The albino nutmeg was so neat! What a find. Thank you for the trip to such a beautiful island.❤❤❤😊😊😊
So many fabulous shells! And, I am Loving the blue-eyed hermit crabs. How FUN are they!?! Love 'em 😊
I wish one of them would have come out so we could have had a good look-see!
I Love kitten paws
I so look forward to these weekly videos! I hope to get to Keewaydin soon!
I nominate you to the title of Seashell Weasel ❤😂
😂
Great true tulip! I’m going to Keewaydin next Monday.
Good luck! The shelling has been fantastic! Especially the alphabet cones!
wow!! there were some great finds here! I was so wishing I was there!!!.i was surprised at all the lives ones you found today.
I'm learning a lot about shells lol. Saturday I bought earrings that were made from spiny oyster shell that's orange color and I love them!
Oh they sound lovely! My operculum ring broke - I'm in the market for more shell jewelry 😂
Love all your videos but they are never long enough. Thank you.
Looking forward to visiting SW Florida in March. Timing out trip with the shell show.
I love the true tulip too! Great video, as always.
I love fossils!❤ what a beautiful variety of shells❤ the jingle and the oyster neat!
Thank you for another great video! ❤
Thank you for watching!
Another nice haul !
Thank you for our weekly beach trip!❤
Beautiful shells and beautiful beaches! Love the area. Glad to see Florida getting some semblance of normalcy
Great finds, love watching your videos!
Hi Sharmon, love Keewaydin! Yayyyyyyy! Sorry, crazy week! ( :
love the fossil
Great video, those pieces of glass you called garbage are future sea glass pieces and we throw them way back out to finish becoming sea glass. It's not going to hurt anyone. Just a thought.
I suspect you have never been to Southwest Florida. We go barefoot a lot and our gulf just doesn't do a good job beating up the glass!
I was born and raised in Florida and have been shelling since I can remember on all coasts especially south west. Never got cut by glass and yes the salt water does a great job on those small pieces of glass. @@SWFBeachLife
Wow great score ❤❤❤
When areyou going to show us your shell crafts and what do you do with all the shells you bring home.? Can’t wait to watch those videos
I actually just finished a shell lamp, so I'ill be uploading that video soon. I have managed to make a shell mirror: ruclips.net/video/Mf5SVm8m5n8/видео.html
And a sea shell picture frame: ruclips.net/video/h9UIvqlOzgM/видео.html
I have another mirror and a cigar box on deck - I just need to find the time! 😃
Wow, such wonderful shells again. The horse conks, murex, olives, the spinny jewel box with the beautiful spins, the chocolate trie tulip wow, pear whelkes, along with all the other shells are just so amazing. I don't live near any oceans, so this is as close as I get. I watch a few other shelling videos. The water always calms me down. Helps me relax. Thank you so very much. Have a wonderful day.😊
Water is so calming isn't it? I love being on boats and on these islands. I'm very lucky to have chosen such a fabulous place to live!
What a great shelling trip. So many beauties ! I look forward to my Sunday shelling with you from Ky. Cant wait to get down there in Jan !
Yes.
Thanks for sharing your trip to Keewaydin, Sharmon. It's one place I really want to visit if I get to come to Florida. I loved that big true tulip and the albino nutmeg but also the Florida fighting conchs and that cool fossil. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed week.
I hope you have a wonderful week too!
Yyyyaaaayyy.....1k likes 👍 👌 ♥️ love u Shar 💓 and love SWF ❤️
Thank you!!! ❤️
Beautiful collection 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💖💖💖💖
Thank you 🤗
That was great! nice weather, super clear water, and wow nice selection, congrats!❤
Thank you! 😃
Have you mentioned where you are from? When you said “wicked” I laughed and said it too! I’m a Maine-iac , and guessing you’re from Massachusetts….? LOVE all of your content, thanks for taking us along with you!!!
I'm from NJ, but I love a good "wicked" comment! xoxoxo
You r so lucky 😊
A true tulip………South Georgia Peach 🍑
Love the fossil. I found about 5 on the east coast last November for the first time. I don't know what shell they are, or how old. Loved your albino nutmeg and true tulip. Great video, as always. Thanks from Ontario, Canada
I never know what's going to be out there and some days are just FABULOUS! Thanks for coming to the beach with me!
I have bought shells from you before and was wondering if you still did? Also a relaxing wonder walk thank you
I do still sell my shells but I now do it through Etsy: swfbeachlifestore.etsy.com
Oh, I love sea glass. I do think your area of Florida has fabulous shells. Oh, I have a cone I found but I am not sure if it is a Florida cone or an alphabet cone. It is light orange in the markings.
If it is white with orange spots, you likely have an alphabet cone 😃
Hi Charmin, Could you please do a short on comparing a Paper Fig and a Pear Welk? 😮❤
For you - of course! ruclips.net/user/shorts9Dey5LzbASY
Thank you for the inspiration!
Question here...How long (approximately) does it take for the "garbage glass" to turn into collectable "sea glass"?
I do not know the answer to that, but I would think quite a while. The glass would need to tumble enough to get all the bits and pieces round and frosted. There is a beach in California that is completely made of sea glass! traveladvo.com/sea-glass-beach-california-everything-you-need-to-know/
Its not Sunday withour my beach walk!. My beach walk makes my week!! Are you going to have more shelling trips in the future, unfortuantely I am working all the days you have right now.
I am not sure what the future will hold for me and shell tours quite yet. Once I figure it out, I will be sure to share!
Xso so awesome!!!!
I don't get to the beach often but I love shells! I find some at garage & yard sales now & then and recently found some that have hot glue on them. Would you by any chance know how to get that stuff off??
Thanks so much for all you do, enjoy all your videos so much! And thanks for reading all of our comments!
If I had shells with hot glue on them I would probably try to pick as much off as I could and then maybe try to soften the glue with a hair dryer and continue to remove the glue. OR, I would reuse them on a craft that I wanted to make, hiding the glue when I reused the shell. Good luck to you!
What a great day. Will be back in April and have already scheduled my Keewaydin shuttle. Is kayak the only way to get to the north end of the island?
Kayaking with Ali or hiring a private boat are the only ways I can think of to get to the North end of the island. I've looked into trying to kayak over there from Naples, but that pass is a little intimidating.
So many shells! So little time! 😂
The struggle is real! 🤣
What marina did you leave from? Another awesome video! Next place on my bucket list!
We left from Bayview Park in Naples 😃
Love your videos. What is the size of your seperate containers for the fragile ones?
I normally have something about the size of a pint container but if I'm going somewhere I think there will be sand dollars I have a big plastic coffee "can" I use 😃
Perfect thank you and have a great day
Scallop fossil is my favorite find by far, what luck! Were you able to estimate how old it is?
It's very stone-like so I have no idea. Really neat find though!
Love the trips to Keewayden. Just a quick question,,,,,have you ever documented a Junonia on one of your adventures? They just don't appear very often.....good shelling!
Now those junonias are the shells that all us shellers are looking for. Very rare since the animal lives in deep water. I have not found a whole junonia yet, and I haven't found even a piece in a while. "They" say that the junonias find you so I guess mine hasn't located me yet!
@@SWFBeachLife 🙂Well, as often as you go shelling, Sharmon, you're certainly making yourself available for the junonias!! One should find you eventually!
