- The misuse of dextromethorphan (DXM) is common among teenagers and young adults. It is a common substance found in cough and cold over-the-counter medications such as Nyquil and Tylenol Cough & Cold. This video was created as an effort to increase awareness of the risks involved with misusing DXM.

Allll of which comes back around to me, by observing the media, I see that the powers that be are trying to absolutely destroy your sense of self.
By removing that pre or suffix, self, you no longer hear, for perhaps our greatest example, the alleged college graduate. That person professes "I did it for me", not "I did it for myself", which is proper and by virtue of its very phrasing, lends more gravity to the sense of one's perception of SELF.

I’m so glad I found someone that thought like me. I could imagine myself I. Anything. Like watching a movie and I could be in it. When I was really messed up I felt like I was just flying or falling and going back up and down or I would feel like I was falling through infinite pillows and when I open my eyes everything is normal and all it would take was too close my eyes and wait a few seconds and I’m falling through my bed into the endless pillows. I wonder if I could ever have those trips again.

DXM is a crazy drug. I took 50, 15mg caps for a total of 750mg and I simply don’t have words that can describe that feeling. I’d recommend sticking to the mid second plateau (450mg for my size) rather than the 3rd. At 450, I threw on some headphones and a “DXM playlist by Reddit” on RUclips, sat on my recliner, and was able to fly through space and time.
But I do think it’s extremely important to acknowledge it’s dangers. It’s so cheap and easy to get, that you may very well end up using it way more than you should, and become addicted. Also, you lose inhibitions while takings it. My first time I took 400mgs and throughout the night started popping more and more until I hit that 750 mg mark, realized what I was doing, and dumped the last 10 pills in the toilet to force myself not to take them.
All in all, like many drugs, if you are safe and responsible, you can have a very good experience.

I think it's also important for people to remember not to take DXM cough syrup with other active ingredients, which is where most of hospitalizations come from. If you're gonna take cough syrup make sure the ONLY active ingredient is DEXTROMETHORPHAN!
ive only done it 5 times Today is my 5th,, my last 4 times were in February, and my highest was 600. Today, I am taking 1200 mg, toook the pills like 7 or 8 mins ago, and Im really excited
DXM is being used as an anti-depressant now, so I'd be careful stigmatizing it. It is a revolutionary new antidepressant that works quickly when it's formulated for that purpose.
In low doses or with supervised use, DXM is relatively safe and there's no reason for people to fear it if they have a cough. Lots of things are potential dissociatives or hallucinogens, some of which people have in their kitchen cabinet already.

kids i know it sounds fun and all but if you are already depressed this thing will make you go down the rabbit hole even more, i was hooked on it through the whole last year and i can tell you from personal experience that life will be dark, uninteresting place, everything will seem dull and things that you liked before will suddenly become boring and unnoticable unleeeess you take that 3rd plat dose and make your brain go brrrr that will be your only source of joy, now im almost 1 year clean and still trying to resist the urge
its so hard. I did dxm for a year straight, a few times a week, sometimes days in a row. I've reached plateau sigma a few times and it was horrifying. I still struggle with the addiction, i started in December 2019 and i havent been the same since. This drug is not a fun one, with bad side effects.

Congratulations on being clean, I'm 30 days off the DXM train. You are right about it sucking you into a world devoid of joy, unless taking more and more. I was mixing it with alcohol to enhance the effects, but that only ended up throwing me more out of tune with myself.
Now that I'm clean, I'm amazed at how different I feel. It's like I've released myself from bondage and I have freedom again. Freedom to start over~

Please read this. Anyone who wants to try it. NEVER DRINK too much at once. I drank 2 bottles on a litter of soda and I almost went insane, LITERALLY. I was acting like an insane person walking down the street. I barely could control my own body and face. After that, the brain damage on my self was noticeable.
I had a 5 second memory, meaning I couldn't tell a story of more than 5 seconds because I forget what I was saying.
Note that this memory loss will affect you and will increase the more you drink in the course of days.
Plus I became dumber and dumber, seriously.
All this damage has gone away now, after 3 years BUT. I really don't know how much. Just a warning.

@@NoRevivesss Dextromethorphan, cough syrup. A friend of mine taught me about it and we begin experimenting. I am the kind of guy who when I discover some new drug that i can get easy access to, i will try and unravel it's mysteries until i get to a clear verdict about it.
We were doing it with one more friend, mainly, for about a month on and off.
I wouldn't call any of the effects "hallucinations", but if you wish I can describe my more intense experience in more detail.

As I said before, I drank 2 bottles on a litter and a half of soda. It was the most I drank alone. I rushed it too, i was trying to get it all down before the vomiting and the physical effects started. Then the usual, vomit, diarrhea, you know the rest.
The most peculiar thing about it for me was... when the most intense part began, I had this thought, this idea, this believe, I realized in that moment, human life is not worth more than a stone (I was watching my orange cement wall atm) and I felt like I could just push my hand into the wall and it would go through, because the atoms and those kind of particles are spaced out. I really believed those 2 things in that moment, BUT of course I knew in the back of my mind that I was just on drugs.
Later I had to go to my other place to get my phone charger, but of course I was terrified to go out like that, my body was beginning to contract into a fetal position. I went out and my vision was super blurry. There was a couple of people walking and I tried to stay as normal as possible. I walked down to my house and got to the bathroom, then I looked in the mirror and what I saw intrigued me, it was somebody I've never seen before, i checked out my facial features amazed for a while. It was the first time i saw myself like other people see me i guess. When i walked out the streets again I WANTED to hallucinate and I saw a glow, a shiny dot on the pavement in front of me, so I followed it playing like a child all the way to my place I was at, in the beginning.
I want to describe how it feels to me to be on that drug normally, so please tell me if it's the same to you.
The level of control I have of my body is 100% basically. I can be the best actor in the world in those moments, and I don't fear anything. All social anxiety is gone 100%, and my body is inclined to do as it pleases. Then there is this constant feeling, it has a name, I call it ANGUSTIA (Google translate it from Spanish to english), all the time, is worrying.
:) that would be it I guess. I consider it the hardest drug I've done until I get my hands on heroin I guess.

I worry during those times how much damage am I doing to my brain, like if that feeling of dread is my brain dying.
I have a friend from the US who did all kind of drugs since he was 12 (he is 35 right now) and he warned me about DXM, he said is the worst drug he ever did, he said it kills your brain.
Everything has a price, the good feelings and freedom the drug gives you, it comes with a cost. That's why I want to warn people and not glamorize use.

Look, I loved DXM too but because of the addictive gene I was stuck taking in in large quantities for 2 weeks, and I was completely gone. We’re talking disassociation to the extreme, wood and pictures moving constantly, I kept have conversations and making plans with people who just weren’t there and completely insane dreams. I didn’t eat most of the time and every night and morning was another 500 mg ingested. Guys, it’s just not worth it. Getting off it was a nightmare, at first I was like “ooh no side effects” which is true, when you use it once a week on a random Sunday night with a friend. It’s not gonna be no side effects when you’re tripping for 10 to 14 days straight
I once was in a halo 3 lobby on it talking to strangers and went into a chat party with random people and thought all of them were family members or school friends and could not tell the difference. My cognitive assertion over identities was destroyed and funny moments ensued such as hearing a story where the guy I was talking to was on shrooms and his pizza had a face was talking to him and playing with the controller and every time he got a kill he was like give it up to my boy pepperoni from Italy. It was hysterical and felt like he actually wasn’t lying in some weird twisted fantasy of inanimate objects becoming aware on our conscious level. Also, he was a good trip sitter and stuck it out during my nonsensical rants on the dxm about things unrelated to the game we were playing. I checked the replays the next day of what I was doing we were playing team deathmatch and I was shooting my teammates bcus I couldn’t tell what team I was on and running into walls like I was lagging IRL. There was a movie too that was on this is when they had theater mode on Xbox where you can join in with someone to watch a movie online together and it was a movie called "buried" I believe where I think it was Ryan Reynolds or whatever the fuck and he was trapped in a casket alive but the whole time I thought it was in caves exploring and shit. My depth perception was so off to what was being played on the screen and again cracking jokes like to keep track of the days he is missing on the walls of the boards he would masturbate and smear the ejaculate into Roman numerals bcus his fingernails wouldnt do the job for that and that’s what dark humor can be like. Literal almost the exact words, dxm mainly was a teenage drug for me and once I found dmt moved on to do better enlightenment type things but always will the stepping stone into questioning our reality and existence for that time period.

If it weren't so hard to get high on other things...DXM would probably still be used to get high because of its availability and relatively pleasant hallucinogenic properties.
Also, the studies showing memory impairment are not 100% accurate - my experience has shown it to have a significant positive impact on working memory in the 120-360mg dose range
The studies didn't state that everyone gets the same amount of the same memory impairment. Think a little, its good for you.
I remember the laboured breathing,and the robotic walk with the choppy vision like you were watching life in 30fps. Was like being drunk but without the stumbling. Took 900mg and I was absolutely out of this world for a whole day. I will never forget that time, but I'm glad I haven't touched it ever since.

It's only available (DXM) here in the UK in the syrup form. It has this weird effect of every time you drink it it has a stronger and stronger emetic effect. I know people who have literally spontaneous vomited just from seeing the bottle on a pharmacy shelf.

I think I died a few few times on triple Cs. Abused the fucking hell out of them. It was an amazing experience but I hope I didn’t do permanent damage to my mind and body. It’s been 10 years since I’ve done any and I ok so far. My advice is to stay away from it because the fun is only temporary and the negative effects can be forever. It’s not worth it. When you are 18 you are very volerable and need a release but when you find yourself at age 30 you may wish you didn’t do those things. I wish I thought the way I do now back then. You live and you learn but what if it’s too late and the damage is done?

@@poopinasock fairly dangerous depending on dosage. Acetaminophen causes liver damage and higher risk of death so don’t use NyQuil. Get Robitussin. No acetaminophen in that stuff. Syrup tastes disgusting but gets you fucked easy. Honey flavour syrup tastes better, still gross n need more of it. Go for the Robitussin pills or any pills containing dxm. Look into the other active ingredients tho as they can be harmful in high doses. Be safe n do ur research before trying

Getting ready to throw my friend out back into the streets. He was homeless when I met him two years ago. He is addicted to DXM and any other pills he can get his hands on and drinks. He is 28 years old and has been doing this since he was a teen. He is wasted and cannot function normally as a human being. He has been in jail numerous times and then back onto the street. I thought I could help him and I have for some time now. He cannot or will not work and I can no longer support him. He is dragging me down into the gutter with him. No one else will help him and his situation seems hopeless. At this point I must protect myself.

@@ItCantRainForever2 I absolutely believe he has a mental illness and he has been in the hospital 4 times in a year because of him ingesting his pills. They evaluate him and let him out time and time again. There is no help for him because he is not ready to get help. He has assaulted me and then later told me how sorry he was that "it is not really him." It is him however and his actions. I have been afraid all along he would commit suicide but I can do nothing to prevent it. He has one month left in my home (I do not live there) and he will be a street person once again.

All we have to do to not go to Hell but Heaven forever is simply believe and have faith in Jesus. Other religions believe that it is good works that get you into heaven. But how many good works? What about our sin? In Christianity, Jesus was our sacrifice.

My DoC (Drug of Choice) that I went to treatment for, along with alcohol. I took DXM in pill form-- Coricidon Cough and Cold (more than a whole box taken throughout the day) or the Tussin gels (1 whole container and then extra throughout the day to sustain the effects.) I didn't like the syrups.
I started using at 16. I've lied about the fact that I wasn't using anymore to people. I'm sorry for the dishonesty to those people. One thing I have been very honest about is that DXM is as far as I've gone when it comes to substance abuse. I could easily have moved onto stronger substances, though, and that's why I needed treatment.
I'm glad to be in recovery.

Get a product with only DXM. Look up online a dose calculator, and dose how strong you would like it to be. 200-300 mg is a good starting dose.

It’s probably the weed, if you can try to stop smoking completely do it or if you cant handle the withdrawls cut down your use till you feel comfortable quitting. You will heal and get better over time trust me. I used dxm for a couple years and smoked and did other drugs and it wasn’t until I stopped smoking and finally got sober I was noticing I was finally feeling like my old self again. It just takes time and also if you can pray to God to heal you and put your faith in Jesus Christ, he died for us on the cross and all you got to do to be saved is truly believe he is the son of God, believe he died on the cross so we could be forgiven of our sins, repent of your sins and put all your trust and faith in his sacrifice and you will go to heaven when this life ends.
