My father, the oldest Goan hippy who was a regular at these parties, went to the extremes & although he was a far better person on hashish & psychedelics, he screwed himself & his family with his alcoholism & finally died of liver cirrhosis. I nearly died of eighteen years of drug abuse (particularly heroin/brown sugar & mandies) that seriously ruined my health, both physical & mental, but got off with yoga, good Himachali charas & psychedelics.....& ever since yr 2000 have been 'getting high on my own supply' (to quote Wim Hof) of brain chemicals generated thru yoga,/pranayama/meditation......& now at 60 am still flyin at the parties 42 yrs after I first got into this scene. Lost close to 40 friends & associates around Goa to chemicals & alcohol during this period, & the only ones alive are those who did the organic stuff in moderation, or, like myself, found alternate ways of getting high. There indeed is a healthy way to have a great time on this planet!! See ya at the next party if you're around!!! 🕺💃🧚♀️ 🤩

I live here now. It's not really the same anymore, wish it was. Anjuna/vagator and almost the entire North Goan has become a lot more commercialised.
