One of her greatest strengths is her ability at storytelling through song. In the middle ages, poets would travel to different regions and sing their lyric poetry. Aroura is a singing poet.

I see her as one of the greatest singer, because she is authentic. Perfect singing isn't necessary a constant perect pitch.
Music is more than music to her, and she don't care if it doesn't sound "perfect" all the time. Like in "Exist For Love". She used the very first recording of the song, because she wanted to keep the emotions and nerve in it. Anything else didn't make sense to her.
I don't agree with you on the "I hope she stay innocent and childlike". I have no doubt that she will always stay true to herself, but she's 26, and evolve and grow like the rest of us. She actually dislike that people see her as an innocent pure fairy etc. She is a woman and more than just one thing. She want to explore and do different things in every album she makes, and she is so creative and artistic, so to expect her to stay in just one genre isn't fair.

Totally agree mate. I think some fans think she shouldn't move on which is ridiculous . There were a few fans who didnt like the last album at first just because it was'nt "the same"as the last three.

Her emotions colour her performance totally. Seeing her on stage, full of joy in her performance and the audience's responses to her, that was when the penny dropped. She is her song and the song is her.

Thank you Larry for your reaction to this beautiful song! I am not afraid of Aurora not staying true to herself. She is far too clever to let others manipulate her. On the contrary she is changing lives to the better, and this is the main inducement for her decision not to hold back music to herself. Luckily she is here and shares her artistry with us now and for many years to come. A rare and different human being. A pure soul. A genuine messenger for things that really matter in life.

Great review, as usual. I don't think Aurora would change herself to fit into the "mainstream" image we see daily of other artists. I don't think that would interest her. She is such a genuine artist, no pretence and no fakery. She pours herself into her craft and we get to feel her songs, music and messages.

    Great reaction sir!
This is crazy. For me this is one of the best b-side on a single ever been made. This type of song by Aurora hit my soul with a great impact every time and the video is masterclass in emotions. For the expressions is one of her best. If you look closely you can see lots of sensitive facial expressions throughout the song and her look that seems to seek compassion on several occasions is so beautiful. No modern singer has this in my eyes.

    Great reaction 🤗
Imo there’s no one like Aurora, she has it all💕
This song is one of my many favourites by her, and I actually bought the Cure For Me vinyl single just for this song 😍
It was released as the B-Side on the "Cure for Me" vinyl single on July 9, 2021, and was released as a digital single on July 29, 2022.
During an AMA on Reddit, Aurora commented:
"It's the sister song to "Exist for Love" but from the other perspective. where love does not fill you up, but love has left a big hole within you”
"When I wrote 'Exist for Love', a celebrations of the love we carry within us, I also wrote 'Potion for Love'. I wanted to also give something to the people who had lost their love. I find it so beautiful how we still find the bravery to give and receive love knowing how it can disappear at any moment. It makes it foolishly beautiful. Painfully delicious. So little connected to the mind and to logic that it makes my little heart want to burst."
    Could you please react to:
    “Exhale Inhale” live at VEVO
    Another beautiful performance ❤️

There are so many different vocal cultures. There is opera, choral classical, country, rock, blues, jazz, rap, folk, soul, r&b etc. And so many different folklore traditions, all over the world. All traditions have their own "greatest vocalist" in that specific field.
Angelina Jordan's vocal culture is shaped by her early fascination with jazz and blues classics, and later R&B artists. She is also influenced by her vocal coaches.
Aurora has a completely different approach. She is self-taught. She had an early love for Enya as a vocalist and the singer-songwriter's natural storytelling emotional vocal expression.
I never feel that she is strained while singing. Singing comes very naturally to her. Her pitch and intonations are almost flawless and she has a great vocal range (No, I'm not a "fangirl" :) Just stating the facts).
Her specialty is breathy, soothing but very playfully ornamented vocal expressions. But she is extremely dynamic in her expressions. She can belt out strong passages and almost whisper others.
A unique thing about her vocals is the seamless transitions between "head" and "chest" voice (Mixed voice) It is often almost impossible to point out.
However, she often stretches between notes (Glissando) to express certain emotions (widely used in folk music and bluesy guitar phrases :). Not consciously, but rather spontaneously and unfiltered from the heart when she relives a story.
She also rarely repeats the exact melodic phrases. She constantly makes small melodic changes in the moment.
She couldn't care less if it's considered vocally correct or not (although it certainly is). She just wants to convey certain emotions.
She is very little influenced by R&B or classical vocal techniques (although naturally, her vocal technique is outstanding). She sticks to her own genuine expression.
You could say that she mainly belongs to her own vocal tradition. And that's something that makes her great and quite unique in today's vocal landscape.

Thanks Chris. I know sometimes explaining what Aurora's music does to an Individual is very tough. You said it well when you said it is simply Aurora. Doesn't say much but it also is the truth and means a lot. "Believability" is what always captures my attention watching one of her videos for the first time. She transports you "somewhere" else and I believe that is the reason I have seen countless Aurora reaction videos where the reactor forgets (no pauses) they are doing a reaction! PS/ I love this song!!

I think Aurora is staying true to her essence while she grows, matures and changes. If you watch her back when she was a young 18 yr old performer, of course you notice a difference to now. But I feel she is always authentic in her expression and to her art and in the emotion she is trying to convey. :)

Artists like Angelina Jordan imitates other singers, the best singers in their opinion, which she has done her whole career. In the beginning the blues/jazz and soul classics, then Adele, Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston and so on. Aurora doesn't do that. She's an original herself!

Hi, Chris! You knew I had to say something, right ? I'll just say that I think this was an AMAZING reaction. The only minus I can think of is your comment that Angelina is all about the pipes, which I strongly disagree with. But that's for another reaction I guess...LMAO Aurora still holds 2nd place on my favorite singer list, and I will see her in concert here in Norway on November 27th. I'm really looking forward to that. And I got to see Angelina on July 10th, so this has been and will be a great year for me, as far as musical experiences go. And yesterday I went to a concert with Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison and Elvis. A tribute concert, obviously, as all three are gone. Jerry just a few hours prior.
Take care, my friend! Much love and respect from Al Bu(n)ddy ♥♥♥♥♥

Unfortunately, Angelina has moved to the United States and has been inspired by R&B's way of singing. Far too much use of runs, fry ,melismas and vibrato. The fact that she uses the above-mentioned elements does not make her the world's best singer. But with her understanding of jazz, she will, within 10 years time, become one of the best jazz singers.
Stay true to your roots Angelina!
