- Here's a Fallout 3 music video to "This is War" by 30 Seconds to Mars, featuring 100% original footage shot using the in-game engine. This song has really grown on me, so I decided to make a Fallout music video for it, as I thought it fit the plot of the game pretty well. This video took a LOT of time to make, but I think it was worth it.
Hope you like it.
Very emotional. Especially if Fallout is a huge part of your life like it is for me. :)
Same here....yes man
fallout never got old
ya
TangoCharlie fallout is better than the legend of Zelda, and I love loz with a passion.
it was the only this to help with my depression when I got back from being deployed
I got chills at the messiah part.
Yeah, because that's more than just the game's protagonist
That's YOU.
YOU are the hero, YOU are the savior of the wasteland. It's YOU that fought the Enclave, YOU that gave hope to humanity. When the video names the Lone Wanderer as the Messiah, it's saying that YOU are that same messiah
War... war never changes.
But people can.
People can change, they can be better. They can choose the right thing to do. They can choose to help rather than hurt. And that, in the end is the only way peace will ever be achieved.
War never changes.
But we can choose to end it.
Joey Fredrickson This is awesome
War never changes.
Men do, through the roads they walk.
Joey Fredrickson but some people refused to change
The great war was a tragedy but it was a blessing in disguise, it gave humanity a second chance, a chance to be better and learn from the mistakes of the old world
"As long as there is man, there will always be war." - General George S. Patton.
Whether a country is good or evil, war is inevitable. Even if not fought with weapons, it will be fought in other forms. Through words, laws, and even ideas. We must stand for that which we value most, whether it be our families, our faiths, or our very way of life. Even if we bring peace through strength, war will always be right around the corner. No matter how many tyrants you put down, there will always be another serpent to take the place of the last. War never changes.. because mankind never changes.
The bits where the lyrics matched the factions and characters (especially the wanderer being the messiah) brought a tear to my eye
I'm glad I'm not the only one
same it definitely brought back memory back in the capital wasteland
Yeah nearly everything makes me think of fallout
The People (The Old World) The Good (The Brotherhood) The Evil (The Enclave)
The Soldier (Lyons Pride) The Civilian (Vault 101) The Martyr (The Oasis)
The Victim (The Wastelanders) The Lying Prophet (President Eden)
The Truthful Prophet (Three Dog) The Leader (Elder Owyn Lyons)
The Pariah (The Underworld) The Victor ( The Good)
The Messiah (The Lone Wanderer)
I'll make a note to play this during the Battle for Hoover Dam.
My God this video hit me straight in the feels. It's been so long since I've played FO3 and seeing all of these adventures, seeing how much the Lone Wanderer has saved humanity, seeing him together with Amata right after it all... Incredibly beautiful.
I loved the moment when the father was walking across the bridge then the huge robot took his place. I never put their roles together like that! They both sacrificed themselves for the good of the wasteland!
I'm sorry but this video made me very emotional and left quite an impact on how I looked at this game, and it was already a brilliant game!
So even though there is a very low probability that anyone will care about this one comment, you did a very good job and I commend you for it!
I was kind of sad when liberty died
😭
To me, too (6 years later, heh)!
Although this is just a game, this video struck me...
Every character leaves its imprint in your heart, every character has its own background, its own life, and its own path and it is in your hands whether you will help them, or cross their name out.
Really great video!
Yeah i killed everyone/thing what breathed around me,and i really enjoyed killing
You're god, yet you're controlled by god
4:18 I appreciate that Sydney was included in that lineup, to this day I’m still astounded as to why she wasn’t a fully fledged companion
Watched this after my first fallout 3 play through, so many years later it still gets the wasteland feels going. Legendary video in my eyes.
The vault dweller left their Vault to save it, they walked the scorching hot sands of the wasteland and sacrificed everything to stand against a tyrant that would shape the world in his image. They walked the path of the foundation of civilisation and from their deep foot prints they would leave a lasting legacy.
The Chosen one, descended from the blood of heroes, they walked a path of legacy to live up and answer the call of their people like their grandparent did so long ago. Their path was long an twisted and took them to many strange and horrid place's and as was their charge they face down the legacy of those that doomed the world as they moved toward their final endgame and they put those ghost to rest, their path would be of Resolution of putting the dead to rest.
The Long wonderer lead a life of safety and Security despite this they felt a need to explore to push the limited of their ideal life. The day their father left them behind was the day their world changed forever, forced to go into the wastes unprepared but with a sharp mind and open heart. They helped many on their journey, from a talking tree, a woman creating a survive guide to the wasteland, they freed slaves and brought happiness to their friends and justice to the wicked , they even helped two suprer heros find their way back to reason. All while steeping the foot falls of their father, failing the path of the savour. And like their father before them, they prepared to give over their life so others may live. but their story didn't end their fate gave them another chance.
The Courier once a simple massager, never knew what fate had install for them, or what part chance would play in their strange journey. Fate had them play the fool but with the right chance even the fool can become king, they played and thought all sides, become hero's to some and villains to others. they fought shoulder to shoulder with soldiers, bet against the house and won, healed the sick and dealer of death all while luring the lesions of the waste and took each to heart, life is better than wealth, justice not vengeance, old world blues and new world hopes and the greatest challenge of them all the divide between, two nations, two people, the past and the present and the message that needs to be delivered and a lonesome road that needs to walked for we are all survivors .
The lone Survivor, the one of time, the one time has stood against from the very beginning. They couldn't react in time to save their partner, Not enough time to save their on and this was not the last of times cure tricks. To see all from their time lost, burnt to ash but seeing the flicker of something new, something that the long survivor had nearly given up on. Hope. hope for a better tomorrow, with the minute men, the rail road and even the brother hood of steel and others, hope to have a second chance with their son, hope to create something new out of the remnates of the past. The world is not what it once was and those that hid in their underground bunkers and labs meddling could never understand that we were given a seconde chance to build up from the ground, comunites, friendships and even giant robots.
one can only hope that it wasn't all in vain because we all have promise to keep, but promises above all others the promise of a better tomorrow from the ashes of yesterday.
dude, that deep.
And each of them change the wasteland for better or worse
This guy made the most motivational speech I've ever seen in a comment section so far
Your speech made me cry but not of sadness no but of passion for never giving up on anything to look to a better tomorrow thank you for your speech
The Resident: blowing shit up and grieving one another (Fallout 76 players)
Many feels ;_: many, many feels. Dad...and the never explored relationship with Amata...poor Lone Wanderer.
You should make more of this, really!
fallout has been in my life the longest time and I still play it. no matter what I pretty much grasped my heart throughout this whole thing because it just fits perfectly
this gmv was masterfully done
I always let harold grow out I know he suffers but his selfless sacrifice to be in pain breeds a new world to life and brings back pieces of humanity lost if I knew that I think I could endure to
He was treeminders slave. I did the same choice as you when i was younger, but i just replayed F3 again after 12 years and went through all those fukin caves at level 4 to end up his life peacefully. No more pain, no more suffering, no more slavery. I did what he WANTED me to do do for him, unlike treeminders lunetics who worshipped his enslavement. Wasteland would be greene again, perhaps slower, but Harold will be forever free.
This is War: New Vegas Edition
Wanton: The Legion
Soldier: Boone
Civilian: Cass
Martyr: ED-E
Victim: Veronica
Prophet: The Forecaster
Liar: NCR under President Kimball
Honest: Yes Man
Leader: Marcus
Pariah: Raul
Victor: Arcade
Messiah: The Courier
In one of the DLCs ED-E (or his twin droid) sacrifices himself to save two cities from being nuked. It's all good that ED-E that dies copied its memories onto your pip boy so the surviving ED-E can have its memories and abilities.
I has question how is NCR under President Kimball "Liar"?
I would personally put Mr house or Benny as the liar
politician? I guess.
It's because Kimball's stated goal for taking the Mojave was to protect the people but its true purpose is Hoover Dam and Vegas. Also he intentionally misdeployed the rangers for a mission so Oliver could take the credit.
"My only regret is I have but one life to give for my country" "War never changes.. men do in the roads they walk" "give me liberty or give me death!" I dont believe in fighting but when done for a good purpose im willing to go to war.
war war never changers but men must
Woah time flies I remember first playing this 5 yrs ago and watching this GMV. When you get older time flies faster doesn’t it. The only this I can say is that I’ll never be able to play Fallout 3 again like the first time.
Me too, I guess (6-4 years ago).
Holy crap, the violin.. SO MUCH FEELS
Having Malcolm McDowell voice the Enclave's robot President was utter BRILLIANCE!!!
_FALLOUT 3 IS THE PERFECT GAME IN EVERY ASPECT!_
*CHANGE MY MIND*
This was an amazing video with perfectly chosen music, you showed such an awesome heroic struggle and gave hope where there was none. The music you chose only helped to show we need to fight to achieve happiness and to never give up hope. Even within one of the most end time apocalyptic games there is hope and a message to show this is what happens if we give up. You sir have given me just a little more hope in humanity with this video, and I thank you.
"Mankind must put an end to war or war will put an end to Mankind"
"war is fear cloaked in courage"
"War never changes"
End. It. Now.
Or, We all die. Because In War, No one wins.
This video is the best video ever.
Nope if there was no war, killing, murdering, assassinations etc the world would be still in the stone age and most people would die from illnesses
Mary Cullen No, Not War as in War on Terror, World War 3, Sino-American War, War as in fighting. Can't we all just get along and have happiness?
War keeps humanity relevant.
What is good with no evil to prove itself? What is evil without any good to challenge it? We need challenges to prove ourselves. Death and suffering brings new opportunities to prove ourselves in this world.
StealthSnipe the answer to that is you don't posses the intelligence to see reality
Jack Nelson you sir are correct
even 12 years this video is amazing
this video makes me want to replay the whole game and be the ultimate hero or the great messiah .
i can't believe it..... are those.... trees...? Well Do Wanderer *Salute*
Potato Gamer
It’s a mod dude it was inspired by the quest at utopia
THIS IS *LITERALLY* AMAZING!!!
HOW DID I NOT FIND THIS BEFORE!?!
This is the most epic thing I have ever seen. I cannot give enough praise to Joylock. This has to be the best song for Fallout and the best music video I have seen.
i love this game, the only game you can truly get lost in
...you ever just come back to old videos you remember from your younger years?
And all you can think is, "yup, still love it."
To me this is the best game in my gaming history back then and still now.
And all was good in the Capital wasteland... Until Maxon grew up
Daniel simm what did maxon do?
Gold Prime he basically took everything thing elder Lyons did and throw it into a trash can oh and killed Sarah Lyons
Gold Prime the moment he dropped his balls he doomed us all
The lone Courier man. Now that I know this, I might just kill elder maxon and replace him with someone else...maybe me.
@@goldprime118 I also found it funny that i made it rhymed
0:41 Dude! That looks like the Box Art of Wasteland, the game that inspired Fallout, that's Awesome
He did a really good job putting this video together.
I love how you put greenery at the end. It really finishes the video perfectly.
*Cries a single tear*
This is just perfect
A standing ovation for you my good sir
ima fallout mega fan and when i see things like this it brings tears of joy to my eyes
I didn't think anything could make me love fallout or fallout 3 even more than I already do. This is a masterpiece.
This This is one of the most inspirational video game amvs i have ever witnessed. Fallout 3 is trully the story of a hero and you depicted it with mastery beyond any of my expectations. The music was also shows perfectly the struggle within the game so thank you for putting the time and effort into something that I love as a story, and continue the good work.
This have 9 years being here and i didnt find it before. This is the most pure and amazing video in tribute to fallout 3
That's what I love about Fallout 3: It's bleak as hell, to be sure. But at the end of the day, it's a game about hope.
Easily one of the best music videos I have ever seen. Hats off to you sir or madam.
Wow that ending made me pretty emotional...
dude an amazing vid and more to the pont of agreeing as how the poor lone wanderer never stopped fighting no matter the cost or the sacrifice to himself, he would keep his land safe from all, all the feels bro....all the feels
I love how the mysterious stranger comes and kills an enclave for Amata.
This fits Fallout series very well.
Once again, you blow me away. This actually brought tears to my eyes.
This is honestly really meaningful...
It's back! This was one of my favorite music video
My favorite Fallout tribute next to Civilian Soldier great job Joylock!
Citizen solder sorry
Bro. i still comeback for this video
this is just perfect. this really explains how the fallout series gives the feeling that nearly all of humanity is wiped out. your one of the only survivors of the nuclear apocalypse that destroyed nearly all of the world and explains that we must fight to the death when it comes to war so fallout 3 does not become reality. fallout 3 is honesty one of the best games out there. it is one of the only games that gives that strange but nice feeling of nuclear apocalypse . just amazing. amazing.
The ending made it perfect for me :')
i didnt think it was possible but you showed this game in complete and total awesomness
Dude this is the best video of fallout ive ever seen keep up the awsome work man
coming back to this after 4 years, N O S T A L G A
i love this video, makes me wanna see a huge good vs evil battle made using fallout
It's been seven years and this video is still amazing.
That moment you get goosebumps whilst watching an amazing video.
Amazing video. Great timing and just overall fitting. Great job m8!
i really dont know how all your vids dont have more views. You have yet to make a amv that hasnt been better than anything else ive seen. You took an awesome song and an awesome game and made something amazing out of it. Perfect sync, even better than the red vs blue one you did. good job!
"The hell is a trog? Some kind of fish? What do I do when I see one? Strangle it with my bare hands?" God I love the Lone Wanderer 😂
Each time I watch this I want to cry. You've done an incredible job...
Le Montage est juste magnifique : )
"Hope you like it" WHAT??! I fucking LOVE this. I've been wanting to make a Fallout music video for a long time now and I absolutely SUCK at getting anything recorded with fraps.
I LOVE this. I LOVE you for making it! Amazing work! ♥♥♥
This is really well done, probably the best FMV I've seen so far.
you deserve all the respect i can give, major thanks for all the efort you put in
This is officially the first ever AMV using 30 Seconds to Mars that is good. And for that matter, really good! Very well-done in all aspects, from visual artistry to linking the video and song together to having a strong message to convey. I like how you have a penchant for using the GECK to rearrange the game around for your AMV, yet always to link the AMV entirely to the game's concepts and themes. Very nice work! And the fact that you actually made a This is War AMV that's good is gravy!
so well made gave me goosebumps
This is the best Fallout video on RUclips, amazing job.
10/5 Stars, Keep up the great work!
This is the greatest music video I have ever seen. I have never felt so moved by a video or game before. Put simply, this is art, pure and simple.
This song makes me cry
Cause you're a little bitch...No i'm just just kidding fallout 3 is a great game though.
Dude why u said that
I said i was kidding.
Ok
Lawl Mart Yeah...
For some reason when I watch this I get hit with a little bit of feels. No idea why
Trust me, you are not alone. :)
Fallout 3 AND 30 Seconds To Mars? I love you, Joylock.
This is Beautiful!
Though I know this is an AMV, this is the first time I heard this song. And I don't think I want to see the original after seeing this video, because this is how I want to remember this song. Though I only completed Fallout 3 once, seeing this RUclips video made me appreciate the game even more... Thank you.
I really enjoy how you use the lyrics as well as imagery and context from the games lore to make a deep statement about todays world.
This video is nothing short of amazing!
Dude this video is terrific :D
Added to my favorites :D
I had a lot of fun watching this video, but I think your Citizen Soldier video for New Vegas goes far beyond this.
This brings me back. Never knew its been 9 years. God bless the Enclave, God bless America.
love it props to you. crazy mod at the end with the trees makes it look like oblivion. well done, love the song
I don't know when someone will get smart enough, but with the massive fan base that fallout has, a fallout movie would rank as a best seller.
Kudos for making FO3 look even more epic
this music video matches the song, ive been looking for this video for months, its like it appeared suddenly again
this video needs x100 the current views, it was amazing.
How... how did you make that awesome game even better? Im a big Fallout fan and i have no idea where you got almost half those scenes although i know all the characters. I mean Amata and the wanderer walking in the wasteland? Actually seeing Harolds influence and seeing the wasteland go green again?!?! Too epic man, if normal Fallout 3 brings a tear to fans eyes, this brings heavy weeping of joy and wonder.
Okay who ever picked the scenes and synched them up... congrats... Nice damn job.
Wow. Just wow. I am amazed at how beautiful this song can be in this setting/game. You got my thumb's up.
People think they are artist if they put trailer of game with some music... but they aren't
You are the artist... Great, original vid
This was beautiful!
Amazing, really conveyed everything Fallout 3 stood for. Best Fallout AMV i've ever seen!
Woo this is fucking war baby!
(Like if you know the reference)
"The moment to live and the moment to die"
That moment when the Lone Wanderer watches their father die before them...
This music suits this game, because believe it or not, fallout 3 is based on the fight between good and evil and also one mans mission to save the people of the wasteland.
THIS DESERVES ALL OF THE LIKES
My god.... So Epic, you made me love this song!
Im gonna subscribe!!
I still stand by this but 16 year old me, shut up. Shut up now. You are bad.
