Hi Bob and Nigel. Nicley said with the coupling of locos and speed. When I was a driver didn't have any coupling to do. Our trains only went about 45 50 anyway. Very well said Bob, agree with you 100%, people like us, ex railwaymen will be super critical, because that's what our job was - safety critical, and another thing that winds me up with people operating DCC diesels, they start them up, toot the horn and off they go! They're not cars- people really don't know what the real railway is about - trains operate on air, compressors pump.ip air into the system to make everything work, minimal 70psi to get contractors and valves to operate and enough air required to stop in the first place, if you cant stop you cantmmove, applies to diesels and electric traction, such as our old class 400 EMU stock.
