@@GBGuns Ok nice. By the way the youtuber "Bald&curious" has a video from the GP stand from the shotshow 2024. There he asked why they changed the rotating system and did get an answer.
Thanks for the video. I was actually thinking about one of these, but it didn't make logical sense. "It's too big, you'll never carry it..." so I ended up buying a couple of inexpensive micro-9's instead. But now you've got me back on the TH45 train again. Logic be damned!

Good honest review. We don't own any Taurus firearms anymore. They make some nice entry pistols.my husband and I traded the few we had in, as we primarily collect German / European firearms. In closing we never had any issues with the Taurus firearms. The finish was not the best in my opinion. Being honest I, think we're going to pick one up for when we go rafting later this year. I definitely don't want one of our Walther or HK pistols in the river 🤔 Hope you and Teya have a great weekend. I, think that outdoor range is fantastic. 🙏
Interesting to hear someone else's take on it. I've had my pt845 (basically the same gun) since about 2010. Has proven to be outstanding. Zero issues, zero ftf, fte, with anything I've fed jt, so far. Very accurate, too. Debating a th9, haven't decided if I need it though
Great video as usual Sir - I love your videos - When it comes to shooting weapons and accuracy U are the best on Utube u tell it like it should be told unbias - Peace -Out - Live Long and Prosper - SIR !!!
I haven’t messed with the TH 45 or TH 10; however, I have shot both TH 9 variants and honestly the largest drawback to this series of pistols IMO is the trigger system. I wish an aftermarket company would start making upgraded trigger kits for these guns because overall the ergonomics and other build quality is not bad. I get that it is not on the same level as a S&W, CZ, H&K, or Sig buut at the same time like another commentor mentioned they do not want to take a more expensive model firearm rafting and have it end up in a raging river, but with that said that doesn’t mean that we'd want to suffer with a less than mediocre trigger system either. I can see this pistol being worth putting a 150 to 200 dollar trigger kit into so that it is more predictable and confidence building as a survival sidearm when in the wilderness. It supports a decent capacity in the larger bore calibers such as 10mm and 45acp and yet is not so expensive that if it were to get marred up due to being dropped in snow, ice, gravel, rocks, or a river that someone is going to be overly frustrated. Every firearm serves a purpose and I view Taurus as being that firearm that serves as a low cost yet reliable option for applications were the gun is going to take cosmetic damage that you would not want an 800 to 1200 dollar H&K or FN to take.
I have a G2c in .40 S&W, and I love it - it's just right. Had .45ACP been available, I'd probably have bought it - I am a strong aficionado of the 1911, and recently bought a double-stack 2011 that overcomes what I thought was the chief detraction of the 1911 - capacity. I'm not a fan of extended magazines that drag on the ground just to get capacity. But the Taurus firearms I've had so far (a Millennium G2 in 9mm and the .40) I have been very satisfied with - the .40 exceptionally so. I'll have to check out the TH45 somewhere. This video and your unboxing video were very informative. Nice job with the selection of ammo, too. Thanks.
Please forgive me if this question is not relevant to ask. I am new to the firearm hobby. So my question is why would you go down to a 78 grain plus P as opposed to shooting a 230 grain don’t they have the same amount of power is my question or wouldn’t the 230 grain be more powerful than the 78 grain? Thank you. I also have this same firearm. I’ve had it for about seven or eight months already.
I replied to this the other day but it doesn't look like it stuck. +p is used to compensate for shorter-than-standard barrels (45acp has 5" as a standard) so that the projectile can get enough velocity to perform as intended. It doesn't matter much for range use, but can for defensive use. Total energy is a factor of weight and velocity with velocity making the biggest impact, so some manufacturers go with a lighter bullet to help get that speed. If you'd like to know more about +p I did a write up here: www.gbgunsdepot.com/post/p-ammo-what-is-it-good-for

I have a Sig P220 and my DA shots are always better than my SA. My guess is the DA pulls the gun deeper into my hand, causing a firmer grip. Could be, who knows?
It seems like a pretty good gun for the price and I could use another 45 pistol and one with more capacity than my 80yo 1911. I was leaning to buying a Taurus Gx4 carry next but now I'm not so sure. I already have 2 9mm pistols. If you haven't done a review of the Gx4 carry could you do one? I like your ammo testing. 👍
Yes, we have a multi-part GX4 video as our early-production model had a bad barrel. Taurus replaced the barrel under warranty, and so we did another video, then yet another with a Lakeline ported barrel.
@@GBGuns Are those the micro GX4's ? The GX4 Carry is a bigger one that comes with 2 15 round mags. It's size isn't a whole lot smaller than a G3. I don't buy micro guns. I was hoping they'd come out with a bigger version tho because I love the trigger on the GX4. I dry fired a GX4 Xl at the gun shop but that gun just has the longer barrel.
Taurus, one day, will make the best pistol ever and they probably won't notice it. Taurus decockers have reputation of being weak. I always uae my fingers to slow down the hammer. The interceptor is really tiny. After 800 rounds with zero failures to feed, extract or eject... I can't hate my Taurus.
