I got this drone as a Christmas gift last year. I love how small it is. It takes amazing photos. The video quality is amazing. This is a great choice for someone that wants to get into using one.
Agh wow yeah that phone-less controller would definitely be a game changer. Still waiting for a subject follow function! And I also totally forget to take photos with my drone too. Luckily remembered a few times on my trip this summer though.
I really like the mini 3 and the mini 3 pro but the thing is with the mini 3 is there is no collision sensors so as a beginner you probable need those sensors to stop you never know what’s gonna happen
If you are smart you don't need the collision avoidance stuff I had never flown a drone or even really touched one before I got my DJI mini SE and now 2 years later and 1000's of hours of flight I have never crashed it or put it into a place where I needed the sensors to take over if it had them. It's the same as driving a car really don't rely on the safety feature to keep you safe keep yourself safe
Agreed about safety. But the cool thing is about the optical avoidance sensors as you could take a bike ride and a path with trees and it will follow you and not hit anything.

The mavic mini 1 has it so I guess that this one as well, just dont forget to put the return to home height high enough so it cant hit anything on the way back as it doesnt have sensors in the front
if youre a beginner and dont neccesarily care about having the highest quality possible, the mini 2 is still a very great option, especially for the price. the camera quality is still very good, but it is not the best compared to other dji drones. the mini 3 and the mini 3 pro clearly have better cameras, but youre going to pay for money for those. the mini 2 will get you in the sky and give you flying experience so maybe one day when youre more comfortable you can invest in a more expensive drone. get the fly more bundle!
Hi ijustine. i bought the DJI mini 3 pro, but i heard online you have to pay a fee online to have it register with FAA? Its like $5.00 for three years?? Did you do that and did you put the sticker on your drone so they know its register??

Most of these Drones are about 25-minutes , if you get more than that , you can thank your Heavenly Stars !!!!! At least for a Short while cause eventually flight time will decrease the more you fly !!!!!😮

It does not, it just has the altitude sensors on the bottom so it doesn't slam into the ground when landing

Don't know about the mini 3 but I do have a mini 2, which is also supposed to be "249g", and it measures more in the vicinity of 242 - 243g

very bad battery life only last max 25 minutes not same as advertised just to make clear because tryed 3 batteries and regarding to DJI its normal.
