kelly has earned SO MANY more fans in the last six years than just the ones she had from the AI era, so her success is not soley based on AI. she's thanked AI. it's done. no more thanking is necessary. we know she's thankful for american idol. she has said it numerous times.
american idol only got her so far. kelly did thank American Idol when it was the main thing that got her going. however, you may have noticed, but only a couple of the American Idols were successful. the ones who have been have obviously done something different to ensure that they're lasting. you can't thank american idol for longevity.
