Enjoyed your take. I have 3 Leonardo Elastic Steel nibs. One arrived with issues, the other 2 write well, very smooth consistent writers, but flex, only for the strong. I also have many vintage gold nibs that are soft. As you state, no comparison. My vintage flex requires very little pressure to increase line width 3-5x. Well beyond what this Elastic nib can do. But, Leonardo makes excellent pens, very well made, beautiful & will last a lifetime. I was fortunate to have some of their grounds nibs, they are very good. Hope they offer those as options.
Beautiful pen and I am glad to see the elastic nib works well. I do want to get another Leonardo pen but have been torn between the Momento Zero Grande or the Mosaico. I have heard they are nearly the same size. Do you have an opinion? Thank you for the review.
These modern flex nibs all seem to come up a bit short. I think if someone wants the look of flex without the hassle or disappointment, use a stub nib.
