Ok, coming in for a 1 month update.... After 65 flights and almost 5 hours of flight time, I'm going to say this is my favorite plane. It's flight characteristics and balance make it a joy to fly. I had my battery a bit too far forward and my buddy recommended I move it back a little and it now flies just as easily inverted as it does upright. It's rolling harrier is so easy it feels like cheating. All the ailerons swinging around look super cool and it’s size makes it just right for the smaller space I have to fly in. It's taken some good tumbles and a midair collision with a Super Cub without any major damage, although I did get some cracks around the lower wing/aileron servo area, I just added some Foam Tack and it is good to go. If you are thinking about the Crack Pitts, I’d recommend it for sure!
Hi Jim, 7:00 was that supporting spar supposed to have been installed earlier. Actually I'm probably wrong. I watched another video on this plane and he cut the horizontal part of the fuse all the way down, where you cut the vertical part of the fuse. edit: after following along with the manual, you did it just like the say to do it. 👍
Hi Jim, Mine should be here tomorrow. I wish I could 'like' this video again. I see you've made some procedure improvements between videos. One take away is not to attach EITHER end of the long pushrods until the six little guides are glued in. That is helpful and I will remember to do that on this build. Also the little jig you made to help attach the pushrod retainers to the servo arms really helped on my last build. In another video, after centering the servos, simply screwing on the servo arms at the time, prior to assembly worked well. I sure appreciate the instruction. BTW how long would you say it took you for this build?
Nice! It really depends on the builder themselves and if they have built a similar models before etc... We are fairly fast at building them these days, a single evening they can be built. Though we rather someone take there time especially if they are new to building our models.
So glad you are liking the videos! Yes, I think I get better every build. I've also found that for some models, assembling the clevis and servo horn together makes more sense than trying to fiddle with it already on the plane. Some of the "Mistakes" I make on purpose for everyone's benefit. 😉Build time is difficult to answer because I am also filming. Trying to put stuff together at arms length and stay out of the camera shot is hard. Also Foam Tac takes a little more time to setup than CA and kicker. If I was just doing a regular build without interruption moving fast, probably an hour. Taking my time, reading the manual, 3-4 hours.
Hey! Great video. I just had one question before I go ahead and make a purchase. On the power kit it says it comes with 3 servos. Does this plane require 3 servos or 4 because that dosent seem correct to me.
actually that is a very good question. If you look at the manual you'll see that 1 servo is being used for the ailerons with use of a differential horn which allows for equal throw movement for both ailerons. So in short, 3 servos are used for this model.
Ordered this kit a week ago and my wooden wing spars came in completely warped. I submitted a ticket and left voice mail. Have yet to receive any communication with this issue. Who do I have to contact to get this issue resolved?
Sorry to hear this, believe we did respond to your request for help, possibly the message went to spam. Will reach out to you again. BTW if for some reason that doesn't work you can contact us directly from the order portal itself or phone.
I have a great appreciation for anyone who uses the word cattywampus. As I myself am a user of cattywampus.
LOL, thank you!

Great video Jim! Full of useful information for both new and experienced builders.
Glad it was helpful!

Awesome build Jim. A lot of great little details and tips in there!

ok thank you @@TwistedHobbysIncChannel
Did you use glue and blem tape on the motor mounts?
You can, though if you using Beacon Foam Tac or similar "adhesive" type of glues its really not needed.
