Great video! Just getting into RC planes and bought this plan but managed to do a few crahes during turning and I heared in the video that you mixed in a bit of rudder when using ailerons. Can you elaborate a bit on that, did you add left rudder when going right? This to avoid it to dive when banking? Not sure I fully followed your explenation in the video. Thanks again for very good build description, wish I found this before I did build my 😂
Believe Jim's referring to using ailerons / elevator to turn and how its different than say our standard mono 3D models where as you can just the rudder to turn if you wanted to.
My radio is the Radiomaster TX16S, to setup my mix, I used this video here as a guide to help me understand. ruclips.net/video/rcnacDtfs68/видео.html On my CH1 I have 100% Ail and added 30% Rud after. On my CH2 I have 100% Ele and added -30% Rud |x| The ailerons work like normal, but the rudder stick makes the ailerons and elevator move a bit in the direction of the turn as well. A different radio would be a bit different of a setup, but the concept is the same.
You're prob not using aileron + elevator when you're banking, you put your stick in a diagonal between the ail and elevator, that will cause your plane not to go into the gnd or lose altitude when turning, j/s
@@TwistedHobbysIncChannel I agree with @impuls60. Photo 10 in the manual has clearly shown the top surface at the bottom causing a dihedral effect. The bottom surface is shown uppermost with the upper surface flat on the building board
At that point we'd recommend changing the motor/esc. We've worked on creating an even faster pc setup though we've found it wasn't worth deviating away from the simplicity of the standard mono power system since its so efficient when switch to 3s 8" prop setup. When testing higher kv motors and 4s lipo setups, flight times started to drop to 2 mins, we believed the trade off in speed wasn't worth the lack of flight times.
Super helpful video Jim!
Love it! Thank you🎉
You are so welcome!
Another GREAT video and presentation of a new TWISTED HOBBYS product!!! Loving these videos and flights!!!
More to come!
GREAT video. Have you gotten the opportunity to fly it in any kind of wind yet, and if so, how well does it handle it. Let me know please.
I love it wayy cool. Plane
Never apologize. Your friends don't care and your enemies won't believe you. Besides, any landing you can fly again from is a good landing.
Great video!

Flat along the wing bottom? The pdf manual shows the oppsite, flat along the top.. which is right?
Correct, not symmetrical, wing does creat some lift. Bottom is more flat.

Can we use the recommended Volta motor with a 4S battery? Will it be too much for the motor/ESC?
