I bought at Sanremu 710 years ago. I used it a fair amount then gave it to my son. He's had it for about 2 years and it's still going strong. If it passes the 12 year old test I say it's good to go. I like that they are using Sandvik steel now.
Though I'm a faithful Ganzo fan, the 2 Sanrenmu's I own are among my favorites: the classic 7010, and it's larger brother, the Land 9103, with Sandvik 12C27 Steel, which I believe I purchased after seeing your review and recommendation. As I get older, I'm leaning more towards smaller folders as EDC's, and I would by now have picked up a few more SRM's as EDC's were it not for the fact that I'm not a big fan of hollow point blades. That said, the knife you're reviewing probably makes for a great EDC, regardless of gender using it. There's something about all metal knives that's very appealing.
Exactly, the whole brand, well 95% of their blades, are for someone wanting something smaller. I am of the opinion that their quality is better than that of Ganzo or the others. It's no wonder that Spyderco uses the Sanrenmu factory to produce their "Made In China" knives. In fact, it might be because of Spyderco's quality control standards that was the impetus for Sanrenmu to raise their standards to that level.
That could be... they do make high quality budget knives. I wish they tried their hand a little more often on larger locking folders. They'd make a killling!
I bought a Sanrenmu 812S in s35VN and TC 4 titanium because I was sebenza curious and didn’t want to drop a car a bi-yearly car insurance payment to find out if I like the design. After inspecting it vs my expensive Ti Framelocks it looks like it was designed specifically to be cheaply manufactured with as few compromises as possible, they guys at Sanrenmu know exactly what corners you won’t mind if they cut it’s really impressive.
I might just have to snatch one of these up! Most guys I know like a 3-4" blade, but there's a lot to be said for smaller knives. Unless you're doing food prep, the average person could even get away with a 1" blade. My tata carried a slip joint with a 1" blade for 30+ years and rarely needed more. This looks like a much more fashionable (and even cheaper) alternative. :)
The 7098? The one with the saw and screw driver? That is a really nice knife. I own it, but never got around to reviewing it. I prefer the 7098 because of the added functionality and the slipper action is a bit smoother.
Great to hear! It's a good cheap flipper- I like it much better than the Spydeco positron I reviewed sometime back, which is a much more expensive flipper in the same size class.
I'm seeing a lot of Chi-Com knives (RealSteel) with Sandvik steel. I suspect Swede/Chinese alliance akin to NATO. This one looks interesting, but in D2 well maybe D2: www.knifecenter.com/item/RST3716/realsteel-knives-bushcraft-folding-knife-d2-plain-blade-black-g10-handles-nylon-sheath-reviews#reviews
Nice! It's hard to find a nice sheath on most knives under $100. You get passable ones, but not often a nice one. There are exceptions... but I don't like the sheaths on most of my cheapies. The Vangedal Rover being my favorite. The Chinese are everywhere.

I think I have the 710 somewhere... it's a nice one too. Yeah they're built like a much more expensive knife.

it's nice that there are so many serviceable $10 knife options between srm and ganzo
If someone needs a $10 knife, then this is it!
Thanks for the snarky shoutout bro!
Sincerely,
The Paracord Industrial Complex
The PIC is everywhere.
I like my 7089, it is one of the best Sandvik steel blades under $10. I like mine a lot, I have 3 variants of it, the blackwash is the best.
Yeah... looking around, there are quite a few versions out there of it. It's nice well made blade, for someone wanting something smaller.

Cheap and small man. It's a good knife to put in your glovebox, or toolbox. A spare in case you forget your main EDC.
It remembers a lot to the Sanrenmu 7098 (or cryo). Wich do you like more?
Regards!

Advanced Knife Bro Sorry, my fault. Sanrenmu 7056 i want to say, that it is similar to this.
can you review leatherman stuff like crater and uuuh idk sidekick or smt pls
Can you do a elemental knives review?
I'll look into it!
Great review, but totally disappointed you didnt baton with it.
I know. On RUclips and in life- sometimes I disappoint.
You don't even realize how advanced your knife skills are bro. I can't get this thing to open in one motion for the life of me.
That sucks... mine ain't too bad. Not the best though.
Wow that's perfect timing, just got mine yesterday :D
Nice! Do you like it?
Yeah for sure, It feels sturdy and it's pretty fun with the flipper action.

Need to get one of these!!!!
And my favorites for EDC are Spyderco Delica, Native, and Ontario Rat 2. You know...girlie knives.
Delica, Native... What are you doing hanging out in a sanrenmu comment??
Advanced Knife Bro I also have a growing Sanrenmu and Ganzo collection. But I keep going back to my Spyderco. Go figure.
Advanced Knife Bro Love your reviews, btw.
Thanks! Yeah Spydercos and Benchmades are usually what I carry.
Great review and as always: Funny!
Thanks man! Tried to keep it short and sweet this time.
It was fantastically entertaining and I really lauged a few times and got the information. Couldn't be better
well it made short work of that cardboard, what else can ya ask for 8 bucks?
Not much more! I basically wait to break down boxes until I have time for a knife review.
Hey! I'm a female subscriber and knife lover. Just saying...don't be assuming, bro...
Jesus, what did the cardboard do to you?
thechugdude Cardboard reminds him of vampires which is why he gets so carried away.
Fuck vampires!
Advanced Knife Bro I had no idea... please forgive me...
Shiny
That hard lighting!

I like you, you make me laugh-gung ho.
Thanks man!
Lol at "chicks don't like small knives"
I think, right?
