    Hey! Many thanks for the aviator review - I've got one ordered but thinking about the bataleon thunderbolt...mainly interested in carving and side hits....any thoughts would be much appreciated!

      Definately stick with the Aviator for carving. Bateleons are great, but you'll have more effective board engaging the snow with the Jones.

    How is this powder in powder?
    Not a lot of powder but like about 12” of pow? Will it sink or will it stay up?
    I currently run a mountain twin split 159W but on groomers and on the ice over here in Quebec it’s a little soft.
    Is the aviator comparable to the mountain twin in pow with a little more stability at speeds?

    Hi from Italy e thanks for the aviator review. I've a question for you. I'm mainly interested in carving (in this moment I've got Ride Superpig). I'm 182 cm and 75 kg , size boots 10 (28,5 cm) - binings size "L "(nidecker supermatic). What size for me ? Do you think 157W is correct for me?
    Thank a lot !!!

    I would call myself a high-intermediate to advanced rider (but def NOT expert) who likes to go all over the mountain. I'm tall and have a big foot (5'10", 157lbs, and size 11 boot) and I was so excited to find an actual WOMEN'S board that said it would accommodate my size! I snatched up the Airheart 2.0 in a 155cm but got a little freaked out after looking at some of the reviews and haven't taken it out of the box. I want to dominate my board and not have it dominate me! I go hard but I also ride with my two teenage sons on a lot of blue runs too. Will this board be okay with a mellow day of riding once in a while or will I need to be on high alert all the time? Also, is it maneuverable in the trees? I mostly dig carving and finding side hits and natural features but I do like to play around with switch and butters when I'm chilling out with my boys on easier runs. I also like finding some tree runs and hitting a natural feature that throws me back onto a main run. Why does this board scare me? I've seen varying reviews and I really don't know what to think. Would love to hear some comments by those who know.

      Hello! i am an advancsd rider! Let me answer ur questions:
      1st: nope! This board has high preformance when it comes to freeride,all mountain and freestyle! Although, it may be a lil harder to make turns with if ur used to the old airheart.
      2nd: it is! It can ride powder but also stiffer snow, but between the trees makes it rlly fun! But, when u do, u need to stay a lil more alert. But good thing is, the tiniest bit of being alert makes it rlly fun still!
      3rd: this board can scare u of the reviews, but i am sure alot of the reviews are made by beginners who shouldnt use a board like this. Dont be scared, just try it out! Once ur used to it, it'll rip those mountains!

    This vs the Otto what is your choice?

    • @markfawcett8142
      @markfawcett8142 Год назад +4

      Very, very different boards. Th Aviator is ultra responsive. Great for park / rail riding and those who ride "over" their board. It Initiates turns and spins in a millisecond with minimal effort. The Otto is a more laid back and surfy. As a true directional, it will ride / float in powder better. Will also handle a variety of turns, especially long drawn out ones better. Those who like to ride very aggresively, commited to a tipped over, leaning-in , surf style would likely gravitate to the Otto, myself being one of them.

    • @markfawcett8142
      @markfawcett8142 Год назад

      Really diferent boards, almost different categories. I like that super surfy, non aggressive feel, so for me....the Otto for sure. The jones Flagship is a better conparison to the Otto, and also super great. The Aviator is really aggresive and responsive to every little move. Great for park riders, spinny-tricks, and those who want the board to do all the work.

      You would be great on eithger the 158, or 159W. If riding more park, and resort that does NOT recieve alot of big powder days, go with the 158. If you live in a region that has a lot of powder days, and you like to carve really hard with the board at a high edge angle, go with the 159W. I'm sure you will love either of them.

      I just ordered it.. from what Ive read up online, a lot of reviewers are saying that it punishes mistakes and is not very forgiving.. but reading customer reviews on Jones' Website, some are saying that it is more forgiving than everyone is saying. Still not sure how to feel about all that, but I guess I'll find out.

      Hi Marty. They make the Aviator in a 150cm, 154 and 156. If you'd like smaller , the airheart comes in a 146,149, 152. Its a great board. Smaller folks can also look at the youth sizes....Jones makes some great boards for youth !
