I know it’s dying, but the more we buy physical games the longer they’ll keep selling them, and having physical copies mean they can’t take them away from you.
I don't think its as dying as companies would want you to believe, I think they just push that narrative because they make more money if it dies. I've noticed that if you just wait there is almost always a physical release - alan wake 2 being the most recent example of "we are never doing physical, buy digital it's the only way" - why would they release physically later? because they didnt make as much money as they would have you believe from digital sales (aka digital rentals, because you dont own shit)
I don't think it's dying. Especially as recent gens are realising a lot of games they want to play gets shutdown (online only etc) and are coming back to to physical. Ps4/PS5 has tons of physical games that play form disc without patches i.e version 1.0 perfectly. Gamepass is an example of throw away attitude which is super bad for the industry and physical games in general.
@@8-BitFryup-ru7pk PS5 has the option of buying the disk version and the non disk version. The non disk version is cheaper, smaller, and the pricing of digital games can be controlled by Sony far more. Laptop’s and PC’s don’t have disk drives anymore at all. It’s 100% dying.
I’m already stocking up on physicals. Up to 350 ps4/5 titles and I’m loving how they look on the shelf. I feel like I still have the money I spent, but even more like I have a wealth of experiences to look forward to.
I've been meaning to play a few of these games and I usually buy most games digitally but lately I want to have some physical copies. I will be picking some of these in the future. This is another great video, Don. 🙃
Thanks for the video! Not usually much one for indies, but some of these here looked really good. Already grabbed Victor Vran based on your previous video, and this one here got me to buy a copy of Huntdown. Still only $30 here on Amazon for either the PS4 or Switch copies (I ended up grabbing the Switch version as I'm trying to build out my collection for that system).
Hey Polygon Don, epic video as always!! Many games you recommend almost always make their way to my collection. If a studio includes booklets/soundtrack in their games physically, I respect them highly as a studio as much as they respect as gamers.
Fantastic, Polygon Don. I did want to get a few of these on the Xbox One. However, some don't seem to be available for it as physical releases, such as Huntdown and Arcade Paradise. Never mind, brilliant as usual. Disco Elysium and Dredge I've ordered 👍 Just finished Darq, another great game.
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed the vid. Shame that Huntdown and Arcade Paradise aren’t available physically on Xbox though. I’m going to look into Darq as I’ve never heard of it , nice one 👊🏼
Ah yes, good old Journey. I'm happy to say that I have that physical collection. It's truly a gem. As far as the other games are concerned, plenty of goddies there. Might get some of them if I can find some nice deals. Great video as always mate.^^
This is a fantastic video idea. I love getting a manual with games and extra bits and bobs. Indie games seem to be much better with including manuals these days. Oh, I also double dipped on F.I.S.T after the PAL release 😄
Gr8 video. I own almost all those games physically - missing 2 or 3 cause they're either expensive (Huntdown) or uninteresting (Arcade Paradise). Hope you hop into PS5 soon as there's some interesting indies physically. Also tried to find your PSN to see what games you're currently playing but no success 😢
Funnily enough, I have 2/3 of the games mentioned. Definitely need to pick a couple of the other 5, most notably lumote. Also in reference to arcade paradise, the developers are working on trying to bring more cabinets and licensed arcade games to be added (as dlc of course).

Trying to not support digital is the the way to make them get the idea we want physical games !!

Is dying definitely
Hunt Down is phenomenal! 💪🏼
The Don got me again. His argument for Velocity 2x sold me and now I own a copy. The backlog continues to grow! hahaha
I love this video you should make it a regular series
Nice one mate, I’ll see what I can do 👊🏼
Huntdown is a 10/10 one of the funnest games I've ever played

If things go all digital, I will buy fewer games.

Nice! Two solid choices, hope you enjoy them as much as I did 👍🏼
Bought 2 of your recs - Lumote and Velocity. Brilliant little games. Thanks so much, Don.
Nice one man! Glad you’re enjoying them! 👊🏼
Famtastic list! Dex is underrated 💪

I can't believe this channel only has just under 7k subscribers! I have watched a couple videos so far and they are super well done.
Thanks man, getting there (slowly 😂)

Just bought blue fire after watching your awesome channel and this vid
great price too
Nice! Nothing like a good bargain, hope you like it and glad you’re liking the channel content so far 👊🏼
Another great vid mate. My amazon wish list just got bigger !
I see Huntdown, I press Like button.
Great list. I just checked, no soundtrack CD in Velocity from CEX. Oh well. Ordered Dredge today, looks chill and scary!
Cheers mate, that’s a shame about Velocity, CEX is a bit hot or miss in that regard. Hope you enjoy a dredge though 👍🏼

Nice one mate, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah I’m one of those freaks that gets giddy when I see a manual in a new game 😂

Some licensed arcades would be amazing in this, that did cross my mind a few times whilst playing
Victor v looking forward to playing.. been eyeing it a while.. love when put all dlc on disc..
Way it ALWAYS should be.. 😒
Thanx Don!
Victor Vran has Geralt's voice. Recommend to The Witcher game series lovers.
F.I.S.T is free right now on Epic games for any PC gamers watching
Great video as usual Don👍
Every PC gamer should grab that imo. Such a fantastic game.
Thanks man 👊🏼
COOL CONTENT
FIST is the BEST. Everyone should get it, puts Prince of Persia to SHAME.

I like to buy things physically.
