Yall must not be a true celtics fan. Yes this year was disappointing but we had a good year. If we play defense and go to the hole more we will be just fine next year. I love this core group and i love this organization. Seen the celtics win it in 2008 and back in the finals in 2010 and then 2022. Btw i was 8 when they won it last. So dont give up on this team! Celtic for life!

I love this group too and I believe in them all. Heartbreaking loss at the end of it all, but you cant let that overshadow what good we did this year. Hoping for Jaylen to improve ball handling in the off season, and we need to get Robert Williams more involved! Let's go green can't wait for next season 👍

They choked just like the bruins. Regular season dominance does not translate to playoff and championship wins. Bad coaching and poor execution. Reliance on 3pointers, turnovers, and no defense. This group cannot run it back with any hope of a chip without a real coach or better support staff, a decent big man with front court presence and scoring, and numerous changes. This ain't your PP KG squad when you have no inside game and 40-50 3pt chucks. 😢😂 .

I’m worried about our future, listening to brad scares me, when the reporter asked brad about reliance on 3 pointers he immediately went to “I’d love all of them to be dunks” to get away from the question, I hope he doesn’t promote this live by the 3 die by the 3 mentality, it doesn’t have to be dunks or 3’s there is this thing called mid range that our team doesn’t know anything about and it’s why we haven’t won a title, the warriors are the only team to win a title shooting a ton of 3’s, we don’t have those players and that system of movement so it’s not gonna win these Celtics a championship, they need an offense that forces them to move and get better looks that forces the defense to move and get out of position, one of the jays is gonna have to learn to play with their back to the basket more or get a guy who can score in the post, if we aren’t hitting 3’s we lose and that’s a shitty way to try and win a championship

Brad knows infinitely more about basketball than I but he isn't talking about the problems so many people are seeing. Inconsistent defense, poor cutting, poor ball movement, taking threes too quickly, not solving the zone. And what did this team really learn from 2022? We've got one key player who hasn't yet spent a summer addressing obvious problems dribbling. And so forth. Yeah they started really well in the regular season, but they fell off. And in the playoffs, where things are very different, they were well short of their potential.
I really hope Mazulla can address all that but boy I haven't seen much sign that he's the guy to do so.

Personally I never thought brogdon really wanted to come off the bench. He took the position as to not ruin the chemistry. I mean if we're being real, marcus smart is a 6th man guy who got the starter job because of attrition from previous yrs. His numbers don't jump out as a Starter. And the intangibles that defined his game like hustle and D fell off sharply these last two yrs. To me his jekyll and hyde playing style reflects the identity of the team. Got to have tough convos there because ya PG is an extension of the coach. The market don't look great so I won't be shocked if the Cs dont change much the roster outside of getting a big man who can play D and has scoring

The thing about the Celtics that is aggravating and frustrating is that they just don't get it! They keep making excuses and can't win. Kendrick Perkins said it best," This is it folks? Settling for second best. When I was in Boston we demanded to win championships. The Celtics are never going to win with this group because of the following reasons: 1) They never break out of bad habits. Next year they will keep jacking up threes and creating turnovers. 2) Tatum and Brown lack the competitive edge to win . They have been to four ECF's and have win one and couldn't win the championship. 3) There's no accountability. The Celtics don't have a Kevin Garnett that is intense or a Draymond Green who is going to call somebody out. In the Dan Shaunghasy's book On Top Of The World which is about the 2008 Boston Celtics championship season, Doc Rivers called out Paul Pierce and said," You think you're a great shooter but you're not because you don't hit the shots that really matter." Nobody tells Tatum, Brown, and Smart to just shut up and play and stop arguing with the refs all the time. 4) You watch next year at media day before the season begins the players will say the same narrative," We looked at the tapes, we studied film and made the right adjustments and we will be ready to go for banner 18." Then they will do the same thing they did this year except get eliminated in the first and second round of the playoffs.

@@bobqzzi They got beat by an 8 seed who has the best coach on the NBA. This 8 seed beat the bucks who were favored to win it all. Had a better roster and an inexperienced coach. Lmao is not BS you’re just being unrealistic and unfair. We also had Will hardy and Damon Studmire apart of our coaching staff. Please stop it go look at Miami coaching staff and then ours and you’d see exactly why we lost

Outrageous excuse-making and loser mentality from Brad. The players are all lying, our defense is great because of a regular-season statistic. Joe did a great job, despite the obvious massive blunder after blunder the whole world saw. He's bringing the entire core and Joe back, I am officially done with this team. There's zero accountability, Smart and the Jays will continue to run the team and commit turnover after turnover with zero accountability. No mention of acquiring a true PG. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Enjoy 2023-24 guys, I for one am done

You are experimenting. You put an unriped coach to lead a championship caliber team who in the playoffs, barely won the first round, almost lost in the second round, and completely pounded in the ECF. There are big coaches in the market right now and yet you still stick with the rookie. smh 🤏🏼
