And from now on, whenever I mentioned about kpop they always said "ohh those pink hair guys?" "You like those pink hair guys don't you??" and I was like "just fucking shut your mouth" 😂 what's wrong with the pink hair.... it just a concept of their video😂

Some of my friends would probably call me gay (where I live gay is used out of context so it means like weird) and I'd say, ok well I'll go be gay with the 3 billion people who watched Despacito. And most of them love Despacito. Like, why is listening to songs in other languages so frowned upon in western countries (English as main speaking language). So does that mean it's weird for all other countries that don't have English as their first language to listen to songs with English lyrics(Justin Bieber, etc.)? I'm happy that Latino (Spanish/Mexican) and Korean Pop is getting more and more popular.

I'm 18 and been a kpop fan for 5 years now. at first my parents hit me with the classic "chinese music" and "they look like girls" thing, but now it's different, they have gained interest in kpop and korean culture themselves, now we watch alot of variety together, we talk about the issues in the industry (the big3 privilege, the sexism..etc) sometimes I even catch my mom singing save me or BS&T. Out of all the groups that I stan (bigbang, suju shinee block b vixx..etc) my parents fell for BTS, they nicknamed them "our kids", they're always asking about them and telling me to vote for them, we kinda bonded over bts its so cute

This is actually true. In my class, my teacher allows us to listen to music on Fridays. So, when I was listening to k-pop, one of my classmates came up to me and said, “Hey, what are you listening to?” I thought it was going to be a casual conversation, so I answered, “K-pop.” Then he broke down to the floor laughing, and I just stared at him confused. Then he started chanting, “GAY-POP! GAY-POP!” Soon, pretty much every boy in my class was screaming that in my ear, and the only people that understood the annoyance I was in were my 3 k-pop friends. It was the most annoying part of my life.

LOL, I just remembered. When I was in high school, there are only 2 students (including me) that a hardcore kpop fan in my class (there were 22 students). On my second year of high school. One day, my homeroom teacher got us to sit based on his rule. So I got a seatmate (he's a boy), apparently he was an anti kpop fan. He really hates kpop, so was the other classmates. But, I kinda force him to watch some kpop mvs, and little by little, he starting to fall in kpop and surprisingly he knows some underrated group that I didn't even know lol. I even taught him the korean hangul, he mastered it for 2 weeks when I spent 4 weeks to mastered it! Later, my classmates starting to accept kpop bcs sometimes in class, I played some kpop mvs and they all like it. All of them. Lol. Despacito & Contigo were in the top 5 with over a billion views..... A BILLION Y'ALL!!!!. Now I am 90% sure that half of the people that viewed those videos DO NOT speak Spanish. So why is it okay for them to listen to these songs (Which are awesome by the way!) but we can't listen to K-Pop?!. It's 2017 people, Let's get it together & support these artists. Some teachers from my childhood didn't like it when I spoke Korean and I regret not continuing. That's y I listen 2 Kpop everyday cuz it helps me understand some Korean and my parents r trying 2 help me learn and improve my speech.

LOL, I just remembered. When I was in high school, there are only 2 students (including me) that a hardcore kpop fan in my class (there were 22 students). On my second year of high school. One day, my homeroom teacher got us to sit based on his rule. So I got a seatmate (he's a boy), apparently he was an anti kpop fan. He really hates kpop, so was the other classmates. But, I kinda force him to watch some kpop mvs, and little by little, he starting to fall in kpop and surprisingly he knows some underrated group that I didn't even know lol. I even taught him the korean hangul, he mastered it for 2 weeks when I spent 4 weeks to mastered it! Later, my classmates starting to accept kpop bcs sometimes in class, I played some kpop mvs and they all like it. All of them. Lol. I'm an American-born Korean girl. I have trouble understanding Korean 2 the point where my parents translate everything my relatives say if they call us or when we go visit them in South Korea. Some teachers from my childhood didn't like it when I spoke Korean and I regret not continuing. When I'm still living in a normal life (or not yet a KPOPPER), when I saw korean boys wearing earrings and headband too, I also say "WOW, GAY!" but when I became a KPOPPER, that is when I realised that it's Kpop Idols (boy) are more handsome when they're wearing earrings, espacially headbands that are animal ears! I really swear in my life and I hate myself that I realised that I was like "EWW, I WILL NEVER EVER BE A KPOPPER!" But then, "OMO! They're so HANDSOME!" (So sorry if my comment is too long)

Everyone else showed Justin Biebers music videos or something and then it's my turn and I was the last one, so I showed them Exos call me baby music video and when the video stopped the whole class was super quiet, no one said anything until one boy I hated yelled "I KNEW THEY WERE CHINESE!!!" After that bell rings and everyone leaves and I was so embarrassed but kinda angry. (Sorry for bad English)
