I realized my explanation for the Turn 3 Vader was not clear at all so let me write it down: T1: Play any card T2: Play ressupply or Super laser technician (don't use ECL) T3: -You start the turn with 5 ressource, use Super laser technician with ECL to get a extra ready ressource. -You now have 6 ressource and 3 of them are ready. -Play ressupply to get 7 and deploy Vader If it's still not clear check out this video made by my good friend Tower: ruclips.net/video/-XT_M-89vM4/видео.html&ab_channel=TowerNumberNine
The section in your newer videos describing what sideboard cards you would swap in and what you would swap out for each match up is really useful. For Vader, could you list what cards you would swap in & out for the aggro, boba and control matchups? Thanks!
Hey Thorrk. Cool lil story, you commented on one of my initial Reddit posts to suggest your page when I was new to the game, loved this deck, built it for my first locals (not fully built but used your suggested subs or others I’ve seen) and just won my first locals! Thank you!
Now that there have been some results from bigger tournaments where other variants of Vader (specifically Vader blue) have done well, in addition to some Vader decks opting not to run ECL, has your opinion of what is "the best" Vader deck changed? Have you developed any new Vader decks/strategies for the shifting meta?
Thank you a ton for this video, extremely helpful! I see the swaps you would make for the sideboard for the aggro matchup, but which swaps would you be making when facing control? Thanks!
If we are talking about hard control for this list: +1 walker +2 fang fighter +2 devastator +2 snowtrooper +2 piett -3 force choke -3 bombing run -3 traiterous
Thanks for the explanation on the deck! If it's not asking much, would you put the decklist or link so we can copy it more easily? Great content and keep up!
Excellent video, I would like to ask what do you think about Motti in the turn 7 resources with Vader? It could work or it don’t worth the slot in the deck? Thanks
It's very situational and "win more", if you have Vader out and can attack with him you are already likely in a good position. If you really want to capitalize on Vader I would advise to play vader's lighsaber. At least Vader saber can be useful in other situations.
Thanks for your content! Quick question, have you ever played around with taking advantage of unit Vader playing something out of aspect like Boba unit or death trooper as 1 ofs? Obv low likelihood of pulling it off and if you draw the boba or death trooper before Vader u just resource, but it could be fun to do something ‘broken’ like that 😂
I don't think there is a pull that is powerful enough to justify that at the moment (maybe a death trooper). But it's definitely a good option to keep in mind.
Right on. Another card I’m curious why you didn’t include in SB as an option is Motti to combo w Vader leader? And I feel like this deck could also struggle w some of the cunning combos. You talked a lot about Sabine n boba counters but I’m struggling to stabilize against tricksy non boba cunning matchups too
@@Thorrk_THT Thanks for your reply! I just went 4-0 at my locals with this deck minus 1 vader. I haven't had as much time to theory craft and all that so just watching your videos have helped me create a baseline. I look forward to all your future videos!
Thanks for the great video! So is it possible to use Traitorous on an opponents Super Laser Technician then once that is defeated you can have the resource because it was defeated on your side of the board?
@@Thorrk_THT tried, but it's not enough, I found useful Snow lieutenant to trade Sabine with low cost units, but still not fast enough. Here in Italy Green Sabine is played so much U__U
Boba does Ok against everything but it's by no mean a counter. Actually I would argue that Vader green is one of the best performing deck against Boba.
So against an aggro deck, you would remove 2 ressuply for 2 snowtrooper if I got it right? And against control you remove the x3 starvipers? Also, you don't like Yularen against aggro? Thanks!
Yularen doesn't heal enough in this deck to be worth it, we simply don't play enough green unit. against aggro -3 resupply -1 palpatine +2 snowtrooper +1 walker + 1 fang fighter
@@MeepleonFire You will be VERY lucky to heal 3 with Yularen in this deck, 1 has been my average. Just a bit more space presence when your opponent tries to area dodge you, ecl+ fang fighter kill a-wing without dying.
@@Thorrk_THT what decks would you use devastator and Piett against, and what would be taken out for them? Love your analysis, but feel like nobody goes into specifics about how to properly use the sideboard in their videos.
If we were going to play a force synergy card we would play force throw over force lightning. Unfortunately Force throw really only helps in late game when we manage to get a force unit out, so too situtaional in this version of the deck.
The whole point of steadfast bataillon is to be used alongside your leader on turn 4 to ambush your opponent leader, this doesn't work at all if your leader cost 7
Ramp cards are cards that increase your available resources permanently. So basically cards like Superlaser techncian or Resupply. The name take its origin from the very first card that could do that in the history of TCG: Rampant Growth from Magic the Gathering.

I am going to build 3 decks initially. Green Sabine, Boba Green & this! I hope you end up doing tech videos for each one lol
Yes, absolutely.
Excellent video! I've been futzing around with a similar deck, and I'm going to steal some of this.

Let’s see Krennic next! Great video.
Great insight. Really refined choices here. ❤
Sweet deck, very similar to what I was considering brewing.
I didn't have as good units in my deck as this build ( but similar to the build) and won first place at a lgs event
Doing a short video walking through mulligan decisions for specific decks would be great
Short video ... Yes like 45 minutes 😁
Great video bro, appreciate the tips and tricks :)
the first hand and mulligan advice is really helpful too !
Heading to a showdown running this today!
Which is better/more up to date, this one or the one on the GarbageRollers tier list?
My tier list is my opinion. GarbadeRoller's tier list is their opinion. Both are equally up to date.
If you have to replace the vador because 50+ euro i cant afford to buy 3 of them, what will you put to replace them?
Agent kallus

Yes correct

Any other addtions to this deck you'd consider now? Vader's Lightsaber feels like a decent fit.
It's a good card but it doesn't help our bad MU. It's a bit win more, because from the moment vader is in play you are already ahead

Yes a bit I will make a video about the updated version
What’s the counter to this? I can’t stand facing this deck already. Barrage needs to be banned or nerfed.

Because the minimum deck size in constructed is 50. 30 is only for draft and sealed thankfully
