There are 4 Game Show hosts that I cried over when they passed, Jim Lange, Bob Barker, Alex Trebek, and Geoff Edwards. Geoff Edwards was a great person, I got the chance to talk to him before he died.
Same here. I admired them all. Last year, I attended the Trebek estate sale and had a friend take a picture of me sitting at Alex's desk in his home office. I sat there for a few minutes reflecting on his amazing career, and thinking about the amount of strength and dedication it took to continue hosting Jeopardy! right until the very end.
Geoff and I were acquaintances for years. Great guy. Toward the end of his life, he was hosting a podcast on Spreaker. One day when he couldn't get the theme music to fire properly, instead of starting over, he just started humming. Typical Geoff. Fun, funny and a very nice man. As pilots go, this concept wasn't bad. Celebrities + comedy + easy to play usually works well.
Being afraid of being interviewed by barbra walters! 😂😂😂😂 By far the funniest choice ive ever heard on a gameshow!!! Love This!! It should have been picked up! Thank you for another awsome pilot Wink! Your are the best and God Bless You sir!!!! Update all the choices in this pilot are the funniest ive ever heard!! 😂😂😂
It's pretty easy to tell just about when this pilot was taped, just by looking at the set. Bob and Sande Stewart spent so much money on all the flashy lights that they didn't have enough left for decent prizes!
Bob Stewart sure loved reusing themes and elements from previous shows, didn't he? The team set up kind of reminds me of Chain Reaction, and the bonus round gives me vibes of Twisters (another pilot), completing the statement to an unfinished question. Geoff Edwards obviously does a great job, and we’ve got another Bob Stewart pilot with Jack Clark. The set is a bit harsh on the eyes, but that’s ok. Nice gameplay, albeit slow. Thank you for sharing all these amazing pilots, Wink. Please keep it up, you’re doing great. ❤️❤️
Plugging "Mama's Family" and "Three's Company", etc. easily narrows the year to the mid 1980s. Mentioning Bonnie Franklin also narrows it. Then we see it's 1983. So Kline still had a job at that time.
This is a January 1983 pilot episode of the American unsold game show "Famous Last Words". The two teams competing on this only pilot episode are Vicki, Charlie & Kathy and Abby, Richard & Ted. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
I knew this was a Bob Stewart show the moment Abbe Dalton and Charles Siebert turned up. Two of his fallbacks for Pyramid in the 80's when they had trouble getting a big variety of players.........Vicki Lawrence as usual a nervous wreck.
Interesting pilot. I liked it! Similar to Personality. The choices should be marked as A or B so they could appear on the scoreboard as what each player chose. In the bonus round, the champ should get $5,000 if they chose all four answers correct.
Wink, you have a lot of rarities, do you have the Mind Readers pilot with Geoff Edwards (it's on your Geoff Edwards tribute page) I think it's from 1979
Typical unsold Bob Stewart pilot. Recycling ideas- Front game is a revamp of Personality, bonus game is Match Game. Stewart stalwart Geoff Edwards hosting, his regular group of celebrities, and a recycled theme song (Spring Rain). It’s lightly amusing, but not something I would seek out to watch. Geoff is great as always.

Ever ask him about Treasure Hunt and his relationship with Emile?
I really liked this show! It was fun and different. Too bad it was not picked up as a series. Thanks for sharing this Wink.

You can tell that Bob Stewart was obsessed with Bebu Silvetti and the song Spring Rain. I love it! 😊 Thank you again Wink!
Geoff Edwards was a master as a craft.

Another great one! Thanks so much Wink!

Spring Rain shows up a lot on Bob Stewart shows.
To me is has element of the brief 1973 Game Show Hollywood Talking
Exactly what I'm thinking
Don't forget Emile Autuori's famous last words: "Yes, I did."
This is a very rare 1983 game show and a good game show too!!
I love watching game shows pilot series
The set reminded me of another pilot I only saw glimpses of, Strictly Confidential. Do you have that pilot, Wink? I for one would like to see it.
I do.
Contestant Ted Wells appeared on several game shows.
Thanks For Sharing!
Just looking at the set makes me wonder what the name of this show is.

This was interesting and humorous
It'd be nice to get the years on these things. In this case it was 1983.
the bonus feels like Match Game
9:14-9:16 Rita: "My breeeeeeeeaaaaasts!"
You can't get more self-conscious than that, man.

In fact, it was Bob and Sande Stewart’s attempt to revive Personality.
Recorded at CBS Television City, Hollywood, California.
You know what all 1980s celebrity game shows were missing? Social media influencers! 😂
That's a shame 😂🤣
not a bad show, what year was this pilot?
So much like another Bob Stewart property, "Personality".
In the 60s, it was Personality and in the 80s, it was almost Famous Last Words!
I Thought That You Were Talking About The Reboot Of The 1960s Game Show Personality All Mixed With Comedy
This pilot was fun and lively! Should have gotten picked up.
Wink, you have a lot of rarities, do you have the Mind Readers pilot with Geoff Edwards (it's on your Geoff Edwards tribute page) I think it's from 1979
I do.
Richard Kline wants to spend a weekend with Laurence Olivier? I thought JACK was the tinkerball...not Larry!
There’s a good show in there somewhere but just too slow paced.
Ted himself was on a few game shows, $25,000 Pyramid (ironically, he was with Lynn Redgrave) and Super Password

I see dead people.
