About the tone shifts, that's pretty common thing in Indian movie.. we barely make genre specific movies but majority are an amalgamation of multiple stuffs like action, emotions, love, dance, song thriller in a single wholesome film so the audience who prefer any of these can find this movie entertaining 😅
Vijay did an amazing job here! But just for your information, Vidyut, the antagonist, is one of the top most martial artists in the WORLD, not just in India. In real life, no hero can come close to fighting him any day.
There are many Martial Artist. But a Martial Artist with spiritual knowledge and humbleness.
One of the best martial artists in the world based on what lmao? He’s clearly not is he, no one outside world champions can claim that or UFC champions

I first watched Holiday which was Bollywood remake of Thuppaki, it was basically frame by frame copied. So hats off to the original filmakers.

@@balu8885No you're wrong. But murugadoss wanted to work with Telugu super star Mahesh Babu and wanted to make this movie with him but since Mahesh babu didn't have dates he made this movie with Vijay. Years later Murugadoss got his wish fulfilled to direct Mahesh Babu with his film Spyder.

Also, 💯 % agree that Thalapathy Vijay had great chemistry with Kajal Aagrawal (sorry if I spelt her name wrong 😬) and Vidyut Jamwal. I will be so happy if this trio acted in another movie like this. Thalapathy Vijay and Vidyut Jamwal really had that fire, chemistry, "the you're my enemy", friction (I'm not sure if that's the word I really mean) when talking with each other just through phone.🔥 They sure had great chemistry, too. ✨️
