- The Ojibwa bird snare is a traditional trapping device ingeniously created by the Ojibwa people, indigenous inhabitants of the Great Lakes region in North America. Rooted in a deep understanding of the natural world and a respect for the balance of ecosystems, this snare was developed as a means to catch birds for sustenance while minimizing harm to the environment.
Constructed from natural materials readily available in the wilderness, such as flexible cordage and sticks, the Ojibwa bird snare operates on a simple yet effective mechanism. It consists of a noose set up to tighten around a bird when it disturbs a trigger, usually by landing on a perch stick.

Gonna have to try this around my pond. What multi tool did you use in the video?
Really enjoy the video. Why did you end up tying another knot that would flow freely through the drilled hole?
