Same to me i was flight from kul to ams on april 2015 mh 17 and ams to kul mh 19.

It's not easy to re-apply the route. Most airlines have been waiting in the waiting list for years to fly in AMS.. some airlines fly few times in a week. Malaysia Airlines had 2 flights 'daily' and they given up the route. What a pity.
This is sad. I flew the route between AMS and KUL and vice versa with MAS several times. Hope they’ll fly back to AMS soon.
I think 2024 MAS will back flying to europe and amsterdam

direct flight terkesan sbb tu schipol to kl ditamatkan, schipol to australia atau new zealand direct flight byk dh dibuka. sama jugak nanti bila airbus dan boeing develop better airplane, dan better fuel efficiency, dubai dan qatar akan terkesan jugak, skrg ni a350 x bule lgi buat direct route dri asia to US. hanya a380 or boeing 747 je bule. tu pon org xnk bli pasal 4 enjin , more fuel consumption.
Kelebihan airbus a380 dan beoing 747 untuk perjalanan jarak jauh...

Sadly, though London is the last remaining European destination for Malaysia Airlines. So the question is, why is Malaysia Airlines ending so many flights to Europe? Is it because it always had a very small network in Europe and that there was fierce competition from the Middle Eastern airlines which offer cheap prices and having a reletively larger presence in Europe?
Due to bad publicity and the 777 is the only plane that have the range to Europe but the a350 is here so they will be coming back

I'm guessing those transit passengers using Kuwalampur to transit to other parts of Asia and Australia are switching to the Dubai and Doha. It's probably again caused by the rise of Gulf Airliners.

Malaysia Airlines has A350 - 900 (December 2017). Will replace A380 KL to London in January 2018.
then what happend to the malaysia a380 ? + still wonder why they buy a380 lol
the a380 gonna be pass to new unit that carrying passengers to hajj and umrah... which is more make sense.. coz the hajj and umrah have more demand compare to normal route which is sometimes the load factor quite low
they should have sold the a380 and used the money to buy a350 + b787 lol
inoue jerry why need to sold the aircraft when they can make money with it.. and I will let to inform you that.. by june this year malaysia airlines will order widebody aircraft.. such as a350, a330 neo and also b787-9/10.. ok.. lol

What were the old planes that made the Amsterdam-Kuala Lumpur connection (as well as those from London, Paris to Kuala Lumpur) before the commissioning of the B777 at the end of the 90s ????
@Arthur Morgan Yes. I have a timetable from 1993 and the flight to AMS was operated by the DC-10, with stops in Dubai & Frankfurt.
Now malaysia airlines only flies to heathrow and back then it flew to usa and all now its gone
So sad mas
Low demand for that airline and delayed landing caused to this situation...the mas should overhaul the whole organization system if not the company will drain into darkness too soon

Malaysia Airlines will return to Amsterdam with their new leased 777 in the future. They will fly their A350's to Auckland, London, Tokyo and a new destination (which hasn't been announced). Unfortunately, they won't be flying to Paris as it's too expensive to fly to. Passengers will have to fly to nearby hubs such as Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong.

ze zitten in financieel noodweer door de vliegrampen in 2014, dus schrappen ze alle europese routes behalve london heathrow

omdat de crashes van mh370 en mh17 een effect heeft op de airline
maar ze doen nog steeds onderzoek, terwijl de route toch al geschrapt is ;-;

@@thijs1159 they were because restructuring and they Retired all of the B777 and they changed to A350
And MH370
this is because in 2014 they lost 2 boeing 777 aircraft and about 500 lives and this put the airline into a spiral towards bankruptcy so they had to sell some routes to get back on track again

Because they need to use a dangerous route if departing from schipol to malaysia
Because it faced loss and low demand
Eventually, all B777s were withdrew from service in 2016.
