An amazing view from the break picnic table.
Gordie Howe International Bridge is a six lane bridge with a width that accommodates future expansion to eight lanes, while still including a pedestrian trail. It will be the longest cable-stayed bridge in North America and will also set the world record for longest composite steel and concrete cable-stayed bridge deck in the world.

I believe this is just about as far as they're going, until next month, the last section to go in there has to be built off-site (?). It's the piece that will connect the two stretches and has to be super-exact, obviously. Great video!
There is one more full section and then a 30 ft. filler section.

@@PaulSurguy - 15 minutes AFTER the iron workers break F/ lunch so they can holler at me, stomp around and threaten me for being late back from lunch. They're happiest then.
What more could you ask for, a beautiful view, a nice picnic table and a microwave for lunch.

Oh man, I LOVE lunch trucks. And I see the union allows some women on the bridge. Nice interaction with the crew. AND I find it curious that so few workers appear to be working and accomplishing so much.
I'm curious, why would women be disallowed from the bridge?!
It is much harder to find women that will work at 0 degrees F for 10 hours.
