GMDSS Radio Operator Course (Online) | Northeast Maritime Online

NEMO° has a new online course! GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) is an international system that uses advanced terrestrial and satellite technology and ship-board radio systems.
This online course contains virtual simulations, developed by HALO°, for all necessary equipment including VHF radio, MF/HF radio, Inmarsat-C System, NAVTEX, EPIRB, SART and more. These simulations are threaded throughout the course to make learning simple and easy.
GMDSS Certification is required for all ship deck officers on vessels equipped with GMDSS equipment.
The NEMO°(Northeast Maritime Online) GMDSS Course is approved by the Commonwealth of Dominica Maritime Administration, a nation on the International Maritime Organization’s Standards of Training and Certification for Watchkeepers and Seafarers “White List of Nations” giving complete and full effect to the STCW Code.

These guys want $1000 for that course! Really, you can download the questions and if you know how to study at all, you can do it and take the test with the FCC. You need Element 1 & Element 7 for GMDSS.

@R not sure what that means 🤔, the point of courses is to learn im party sure the last time I checked i belive you can never have to much training and with covid some people can't get to school so things like this is our future, and just so we're clear I have my training and work on the water everyday so 🤷‍♂️
