@@jasmins203 That’s factually not true. We are not all born equal. I have no sense of direction and no sense of time. I can go to a place 10 times and still get lost trying to find it. I would love to be able to sing but don’t have a good voice. I’m not good at athletics (and don’t really care as I prefer reading). My sister is a whizz at maths and I can’t even do the 9 x whatever tables.
Almost everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect but I find it a bit hard to respect people who harm children and/or animals.
Now take the people that were chosen by G-d, they are just like everyone else, some are clever, some aren’t, some can sing others can’t, but they weren’t chosen because they were better, I think they were chosen because they are stubborn and when other people try and convert them, or try and destroy them, they resist and don’t give in. They do what they were chosen to do and hold onto the faith. They don’t try and force others to join against their will because they weren’t instructed to do that. They put up with being blamed for everything from bad weather to somebody’s toothache.
The good news is that you can join the chosen if you want to. Would you want to do that?
If you’d like to experience being chosen just wear a Star of David in public and see how you become a horrible person even though you haven’t changed at all. It just may open your eyes to what being chosen entails and it wasn’t favouritism at all. They were chosen for what they are good at - digging their heels in and not giving up.
