The modular wireless charger makes sense when you consider that people often don't think ahead, or when things are unexpected. I buy a phone with wireless charging but my wife's isn't. But then she finally upgrades and now we need another wireless charger. Then we get a tablet or something else with wireless, so another wireless charger is needed. If the price were to drop just a little it would be pretty competitive with other wireless chargers just because of not having to have three or five totally separate chargers, with AC (mains) plugs, and cables to the charger.

That was what I thought but apparently they are based on some studies that was trying to figure out what parts of your bodies respond more to the force of large scale music like dance clubs and concerts and while the expected main part was in the diaphragm part of your torso, the second most receptive parts were the top and sides of your feet. Several people made joke products of speakers on their shoes facing inward and started saying "they get it".
I still don't think its worth several hindered bucks but I have noticed that in loud environment that yeah... I feel the bassy sounds in my feet so I could see it working.
