- Some commonly used mathematical symbols
"+" indicates addition
"-" indicates subtraction
"×" or "·" or "*" indicates multiplication
"÷" or "/" indicates division
"=" indicates equality
"≠" indicates inequality
"√" indicates square root
There are many more mathematical symbols than these, but these are some of the most commonly used ones.
I love how he explained what "approximately equal to" means but not "congruent to"
I noticed that too
@@StevenLubick😢💔
≈ means approximately equal to
~ means asymptotically equal to
≅ means congruent to (geometry)
≡ means congruent to
(modular arithmetic)
you save my day
Exactly what I was about to say !

You did Delta dirty… triangle… the measure of change. One of the most interesting symbols… triangle.

Thanks so much for uploading this lesson! I really appreciate it.
You're very welcome!
I think the "triangle" simbol is a delta greek letter, meaning variation.

Delta is change. Not triangle
Equivalent is wrong and implies
The triangle. Is *DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!*
Phi (known as Golden Ratio), Ampersand, Parallel, Intersection and Union of Two Sets, Perpendicular and For All are kind of strange......

Very useful lesson!
Glad you think so!
@@EnglishTestBlogyou only did examples that we all should know so it isn't too big of a lesson.
you forgor one Γ
"minus" is often termed as "less", 5 less 2 equals 3
"empty set" is sometimes termed as "null set" but strictly speaking a null set means no set exists
‰ is per thousand
Θ theta, representing the angular position of a vector
! factorial
∃ exists
i could probably think of more, but that's enough
Man both of you didnt use exponents!
! Could also be subfactorial, depending on the context, the subfactorial being a function which counts the number of derangements of a set of n unique objects. It is written before a number instead of after. For example !3=2 since there are 2 ways to derange a set of three terms, ABC, being BCA and CAB
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Good.
2:05 what a nice triangle
I love triangle

I tried + - × ÷ < > = () so for example why i put the equal because its simple it wasn't less than or greater than , its equal 3=3 !
I used the parentheses its the same as the division though for example: 58 = ( 7×8 ) + 2 !

also why'd you disrespect delta like that
