Love this RV. Surveyor does a great job.
I bought this with 2 ACs added slide toppers and another battery. Took it out the first week 250 miles round trip, pulled great and only problem was a drip leak on a bath sink, hand tightened and fixed. The only problem is that with 2 slides on one side it settles down about an inch and a half so i just put the slide side tires on a 2x6 and it compensates for the settling. A GREAT well built couples camper. We were going to buy an imagine 26 but the quality of the GS was so much superior.
Very nice couples travel trailer. It hits all the great points. Only con is the limited outside storage for larger items like fireside folding chairs I might even consider downsizing from my big Montana to something like this.
Good review. I do wonder if there is enough hanging storage for a couple doing extended camping unless they use the washer/dryer closet. It seems that there is plenty of space to have a second wardrobe on the front end of the bedroom console without affecting anything below. I am happy to see manufacturers offering more comfortable seating in general while removing the old style dinette in smaller trailers. The overall quality of the interior spaces is nice, but it would be even better with an option for solid surface counter tops.

This one checks all the boxes for me. Would need a bigger truck to tow it comfortably though.
Travel access for this is nonexistent. Just a thought if you are going long distance.

Very interested in this series on the Surveyors. We have an early model 2017 Surveyor 33RETS and it is holding up well except for some main slide issues, not involving the mechanism but the box itself. I like that they are including upgraded tires and central vacuums. We upgraded our equalizer to the Cree 3000 system and put the Lippert Shackle Reinforcements in. We take ours on very long trips, planning a West Coast run next year. We use a ProPride and sway does not exist, definitely needed on long, heavy travel trailers.
I almost bought a surveyor. This one has a fantastic layout except for it looks difficult to get to the toilet with the slide in. The 2nd entrance to the bathroom was a must because rest areas are few and far between sometimes. But if there's room with the king sized bed pulled in its going to be a very popular model.
Travel access is highly limited if you care about that. Not on my short list.

I like it it but I wish the doors in the refrigerator opened the other way and that couch 🛋️ would be a bed… I’m a single dad this would be cool for him and I to camp in if there were another bed but I like BTRV
I have a Forrest River brand, East to West 29KBH. This is a 38' trailer. We like it. Things in the first year of ownership have been intersting with some issues, but overall happy. Love to see a smaller option that fits our current situation. I would seriously look at this unit.

Looks nice but unfortunately a Forest River product. Lots of quality complaints with the big manufacturers. Anyone considering a new or used RV hire a certified inspector. Dealer won’t like it but you’ll at least know what you are buying.
I'm pretty sure water damage is a standard feature from the factory with this company.
They all have problems. Jim bob at the factory doesn't care or have pride in his work

Maybe I’m one of the few. But have a Forrest river vibe 2021 use it for on average about 15 trips a year and a couple of them are week long trips and absolutely zero issues so far.
@@thatguy-ye7pb you’re one of the lucky ones. It’s not forest river per se it’s all of them. My 21 jayco has been rock solid aside a few electrical issues due to mostly poor connections that were repaired by me because dealer probably would have been as bad as manufacturer.
I do like this RV. I was wondering about the couch, because it reclines I’m guessing it doesn’t make into a bed?
No closet in bedroom? Should have added extra cabinets on each side of window in bedroom. Like they do in motorhomes
Love the Front Kitchen on these makes the whole unit seem bigger some how! I would Buy One of these and I normally Prefer Fifth Wheels. Plus you don't have to lay down to look at the Breaker Panel ( Better but could be higher) Washer Dryer prep!!! I am not much for an outside Kitchen but this one would work for me ( they, to me take up to much room inside the trailer) Back up Camera ! a must these days. only down side for me is the Schwinn tec on the bedroom slide I am a Rack and Pinion type. But All in all I am really Excited with this one.
When can we see a 12volt outside fridge. If there can be a large 10 cubic foot inside why not a minimum one. However I love all the surveyor line up.

Great floor plan! Almost bought a 2022 Grand Surveyor, rear bedroom/front dining table model. I really like how some manufacturers are putting the fireplace in the bedroom too. Great CCC. Love the colors and all the cabinets too. Only other thing I would like to see is deeper counter for dining. Just my personal taste. Did you mention the length? I didn't catch it. 👏
The only downside I can see is how accessible the bathroom is during travel.
We loved our Surveyor. We got rid of it because of delamination. I see the new one has Azdel major plus.
Looks like when in road mode there would be zero access into the bath.

I love this RV but I'm afraid the sinks in the bathroom would drive me crazy because their not symmetrical. The one on the right needs to move to the right a little bit. It looks like they have some components hidden under there on the right but I would rather have that hidden stuff in the middle with usable cabinets on each side maybe.

I'd swap out the Kitchen sofa for a same size sofa with queen fold out bed.

Me personally, not a fan.... It needs at least 2 more slides and a better refrigerator, microwave, and clothing storage for a couple. JS....

I love this layout. Our adult kids usually visit on our longer trips but if not for that this would be perfect.
What are your overall thoughts on Furrion appliances? I am in a few FB groups and it seems like that Furrion is more troublesome than most...especially the on demand HW heaters. That being said I still don't understand the OD HWW attraction. They waste water for sure

Steven, I think I hear you saying you would like the gas/electric HW Tank. I feel that way too. I just like the option to use electric to heat the water and not have to use propane. But that's just me.

You can set the playback to be slower, that might help.
How long is this trailer ?
Nice travel trailer. BUT, the outside graphics looks like an afterthought and not too inspiring. The 1970s style sofa recliner has got to go. The color is totally putrid. Otherwise, the trailer is good. Love the bedroom with the king size bed and the large bathroom with dual sinks.
My one question about every travel trailer and half-ton towable fifth wheels is, what trailer weight is suitable for half ton trucks? This trailers dry weight is less than 7K pounds with a max of less than 10K pounds. I’ve towed two different travel trailers with correct weight distribution setups with anti sway bars with little to no trouble whatsoever. Most half ton trucks have max a towing capacity of at least 10K to 13K pounds with a hitch rating around 1200 to 1400 pounds. I don’t do boondocking, no water in the fresh water tank. Also, I plan out what needs to carried on the trip, clothes, food, necessities, and distribute the load inside the trailer. Not every trailer over 6K pounds needs to be towed by a 3/4 ton, IMO and experience. So, just wondering what weight should not be towed by half-ton trucks? Thanks for your great content and videos of the many different RVs and tow vehicles.
This is a 3/4 trailer, unless you want to be fighting the devil
I am very surprised that the trailer manufacturers don't put two doors in the long trailers. An emergency door exit should be at each end in case of fire. They are made with so much flammable materials.
Driving thru TX today diesel is pushing $4.50 - 5.00. Guess you have a diesel truck to pull this trailer what's your breaking point to say " it ain't worth it" ??

so hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm not sure about putting the TV IN the Kitchen, that is gonna piss off whomever is sitting on the oddly placed sofa if someone is cooking and moving about in the kitchen. I think it is just going to start a lot of arguments about "move out of the way you're blocking the tv". it's just odd placement.
Why do they go with such an ugly countertop? It’s a win other than the counter not matching anything else and feels cheap and no cup holders in the seat.

Why do you make such a big deal about Goodyear H RATED tires and the standard crummy suspension still lingers, haven’t we risen above that, and the cramped kitchen tv area , you over rate it
