Ladies, this is not romantic. Believe me. This is misogyny. Cause if you read the book you'll realise. She was mistreated because she's a woman. He didn't face any consequence. Never be lured and tempted by such. This is the reality of how a psychopath is. He had many women at his disposal. Psychopaths will go for the unachievable. They are charismatic and passionate. But there's darkness at the end of the tunnel.
@Sidney H. not every marriage is romantic and full of passion. That was married life. She didn't want to write or work. She just wanted passionate sex. Let's just break it down for what it is. Not really worth breaking a good married relationship for
That is true to a point. But many others in the book were married and having affairs, both men and women. They kept it quiet though. Anna was seen as the one at fault because she was married. Anna's brother Oblonsky was cheating with the governess but the governess moved on and wasn't spurned by society. But agreed there definitely wasn't equality of the sexes then. This is brought out in War and Peace too. It's been a long time since I read either book so I can't really add quotes. I'm writing this at 2:15am which is a bad idea...
@Sidney H. Анну не принимали потому что она была правдива в своей любви-страсти к Вронскому, она не собиралась играть по правилам: изменять, но скрывать это и притворяться, поэтому ее не простило светское общесто, за ее смелость и взаимную любовь ❤
This is definitely an unpopular opinion but I think Vronsky was poorly cast. The actor is very talented and did very good, but the fact is he looks almost childlike. And with the moustache it looks a little ridiculous (which I suspect might be what joe wright was going for, but it doesn’t work for this film-either go full on ridiculous or take it seriously)
@@Hahahaheheh777 I believe you're right. From memory he was about 23 (and she's was about 28-31)and was suppose be stubborn, passionate, fervent, a little reckless, pretty much what you expect from a young man.
