Your hilarious! I can't believe you pushed on in that weather by yourself. I been to the Steens back when I lived in Oregon. Beautiful area, although it was late summer. We plan to do a U.S.A tour to see family and friends before we settle back in to real life after our 2 year trip from California to Panama.

This happened to be the day after an unexpected early snow. They do gate the road typically late November and reopen around July 4.
