Absolutely loved this video Todd! You’re one of my favorite photographers on RUclips. Your style of explaining things is so clear and understandable. Plus love your videos where we follow along a photo shoot.

Thanks Todd. Subtle is a nice approach. This was a helpful guide to pull out what the eyes can see, but, the camera needs fine tuning.

The particular video is actual for different genres and scenes of photography, I guess.
Although the technique of selective lightening using Masks with Luma range and Brightness is well known and successfully used in Capture One even at the times, when were no any layers in Lightroom at all.

I love this. However, I keep hoping for more Capture One videos from you. Have you reverted back to using Lightroom completely? I'd love to know more about why, if so.

Hey Jason - I hear you. I've been migrating back to Lightroom as my main editor over the past year mainly because I wasn't getting good HDR results in C1 (I reviewed that here on my channel if interested), and because I really like LR's new masking tools. There are sill things I like about C1 and prefer over LR, so I hope to see C1 improve.
