I've also seen somebody use a new Stanley knife blade as an impormptu fret rocker - works great where the frets are closer together. Just have to remember to take the sharp edge off the blade by scraping it across some wet and dry first. Thanks for posting.

Come on dude, you have high fret spots all over that neck, seriously there every where, and your saying in your other video you dont need to level the fret board, mate thats going to take you hours to spot level that board, and with those tiny frets 😆
Save yourself some time and just level the whole board, its no rocket science

I’m sorry? Yes there are several high frets. But a 6” block is plenty long enough to level frets. I did try to explain but clearly failed. I’ve made hundreds of these things. The fretwork has to be right, it always is, and this is how it’s done. You mentioned carbon fibre stiffeners in your other comment. And as the name suggests, they are for stiffening a “whippy” neck. They are most certainly a way of stopping a neck from bowing. You do not want a neck to straight through mechanical force. The neck should not be fighting against its components. Stiffeners are for adding something to a build. Double action rods are just the worst thing that ever happened to mankind.

Also. Fretwire size and material has 0 affect on the process. Some wires are better than other though in terms of installation friendliness.
