@mooninrosequartz yes but the whites in that compliment each other and are a shade off so they look good together but putting bright white and a cream white together will just clash in a wedding look and will look very ugly
Idk, I'm also an artist and maybe I just have an unconventional view of things but I was genuinely stunned by the second one... It just looked correct to me, like a snow mountain above a river. I feel like it'd be more off if they matched more
The fabric and finishes aren't great on any of these. If you don't have that much to spend (and a thousand bucks is a major splurge for many) just buy a dressy outfit that you can re-wear after the wedding. Better than an expensive, sub-par white dress you can only wear once imo.
I got married in green/grey, cost me £60 and I'm wearing it to be a bridesmaid next year 👍 can't recommend enough wearing whatever colour you feel comfortable in!
Right? They're elegant, yet simple enough to do some embroidery or other small modifications, even at home, if you wanted to make them look more interesting.
No offense Maddy, I love your content, & your style, but these dresses look like 1 dollar gowns. & I understand now you wear expensive designer clothes, it’s easy to lose ground on what 1000 dlls is, BUT you can get way better stuff with that amount of money that’s not from the French designer houses
As someone who went wedding dress shopping less then 6 months ago I saw nearly identical dresses to the ones shown minus the ribbony one for thousands of dollars it just depends on ur style preferences I’ve seen designer clothing look like something that cost $5 before.
I agree. I love her videos but this one really misses the mark for me. The color mismatch makes it even worst. I hope no one actually takes this advice. There are many great tips on budget wedding dress ideas that will still have you looking chic & polished
@@audreydoyle5268 ceremonial dress is whatever you choose for it to be. You don't get to dictate what someone wears and where they wear it. You wouldn't wear it? Okay. Nobody cares. But that is literally just you. Your subjective opinion. There are no rules, especially not from you when it comes to what someone chooses to wear.
@@bubble_gum_witchThe entire video was her showing people inexpensive wedding dress options. Shes not trying on dresses for her OWN wedding, I assure you most of us would have to take out a mortgage to acquire the dress she’s actually going to choose. She’s quite literally advertising cheap dress options that were sent to her by these companies for the audience to consider wearing to THEIR OWN weddings. When that’s the premise of the video, all opinions are welcome and there’s no need to get fussy when someone says they don’t like something someone’s trying to sell them. I agree with you that people can wear whatever they want to their own weddings. Hell, I wore a black wedding dress when I got married, and my husband wore a white suit! And even I was taken aback by these suggestions. It’s kind of insulting for a high-fashion content creator to throw a bunch of mismatched white clothes together and tell the brokies “here’s some affordable wedding dress options for you!” Like no, nobody should wear that cheap looking huge skirt and mismatched crop top on the day they want to look their best… just like they shouldn’t wear a crappy Halloween costume. It’s just bad advice to try to convince someone that’s a suitable wedding dress option. If a similar silhouette was executed well, actually matched, and was made by someone who understands how to properly do bridal then yeah, sure. Go for it.
I really hope you don't wear any of these I mean the amount of money you spend on your daily outfit Compared to those these dresses are looking like poor DIY projects Like the one's you just cut up on camera and make something out of it Please find something better for your special day
Damn the comments on this are so negative, I get it I didn’t like the separate skirt and shirt combos she chose either. But I really liked the concept of this video since weddings are ridiculously expensive and maybe it’s just me but I thought the other dresses were pretty, especially the last one.
For me it’s the high-low dress that eats, the mismatched shades in the separate tops and skirt were painful to look at and the other dresses felt too simple (the beachy one was lowkey a vibe but only if it’s that kind of wedding) but yeah to each their own. Except the first dress, it was heinous and did nothing for Maddie’s shape or figure - I’m certain there’s many many _many_ much nicer sheath dresses for $1000 or less if that’s really the route Maddie wants to go 😁
I love that you spread that idea! I can't think of anyone else who has done a video about how you plan on reusing your dress. Sustainability fr! And you get to carry that memory with you when you wear the pieces ✨You look gorgeous in all of them, but Especially like the Caribbean one, and the Aje one. ❤️🥰
My family member shopped at a wedding dress resale shop where the proceeds support people fighting cancer. It's called The Brides Project. She got a brand new gown with the $5000 price tag still on it, but it cost close to $1000. (And when her wedding was cancelled before she could wear the dress, they gave her a full refund on the dress❤).
Maddie the last one on you looks so beautiful. I have to admit though I loved the one with the slit. Whatever dress you decide to wear on your wedding day though you're going to look absolutely stunning.❤❤❤
Last dress, last dress, LAST DRESS!!! no offence but these look awful. I was shock how amazing the last dress looked, this isn't even a competition. If you don't go with last dress you are not human
first or last for the wedding, 100%. beautiful, classy, timeless, elegant, gorgeous and flattering on your silhouette. the nana jacqueline is definitely your after-party, i'm-going-to-dance-with-family-now, comfy dress for the rest of the evening. congrats on the upcoming nuptials. :) ♥
The first one and the last one are most flattering on you. I am a bad influence; get both if they are under $1000. The last one is a touch more bride vibe, but the first one might be able to be dyed, so you could wear it for other occasions.
Maddie, I have seen some of your clips modeling wedding dresses that you decided not to go with. I know they wd all have been super expensive, but wow they were gorgeous, and I did wonder why you didn't choose one of them? Not that I browse thru wedding mags, but the dresses were all stunning. Other wedding dresses I've seen didn't come close.....very classy and feminine. The choices in this vid are in my opinion pretty bad, however if I had to wear one of them it wd definitely be the last one. The second to last dress is truly awful!!!! The other ones apart from the last are also pretty bad.
Solace, last one is def a contender but that Abercrombie is a no. The Narciso Rodrriguez silk bias cut Caroline Bessette wore, was divine (and structured).
I like most of the dresses but when she said "Let's be honest, your daughter isn't gonna wear it." MADE ME SAD like it's so true but that would be so sweet if she wore my wedding dress
Absolutely NOT. There is nothing in this vid worth wearing again, much less to your wedding. I am so disappointed. I am begging you - PLEASE do your JOB and find the best dress, even if it means cutting up crap you already have. Honestly, I am so sad, cannot believe you published this.
I dont get why so many people are being so negative. i love that you are using your platform to inspire people who dont have the same resources as you do!
Also you can see she did a little rushing, I see in other comments that she's traveling, you can do alterations if you want. People hating on the 2 different tones of white like she didn't said it was 2 pieces with nothing to do with. I think this was a great vid for inspo
Consignment shops are also a good option I got a full length full lace dress never worn with pockets for 300 The tailoring was 300 but i have a corset back put in, bustling, and a bunch of like adjustments done to the bolero i wore on top

The mismatch in the shades of white hurts my soul. I know it’s not your fault but it is a little bit funny
Oh I’m so thankful someone else pointed it out. It had me dying on the inside
What about the 1/2 naked one? Lol
*don’t read my name.* 🥡
She put them together lmao so it is her fault
Thank you. This was hurting me
I love the concept, but I really don't like any of these dresses.

Not at all!!!

They are all trash.

I'm sorry but all of those wedding dresses look like something is missing, like half the dress is missing.
Was about to say something similar. Just need sequin and rhinestone appliqués sewn on or a sparkly sash belt
Nah, you're just too used to tacky dresses, so simple understated elegance looks boring to you.
nahh ig you're taste is kinda poofy and extra these ones are classy and elegant and cheap

How did u find a wedding dress at Abercrombie😭
That's the real question! Lol

None of these look like wedding dresses to me.
There’s better actual wedding options at David’s bridal. I got my dress for 300
Same! I got a fabulous dress there on sale for $500.
