#NFL
I swear I can listen to Boone and sirles talk football stories all fucking day
The roasts are hilarious! Boone not playing on Sundays is hilarious
Can't believe you guys don't have more subscribers! Love this channel!
GREAT SEGMENT guys! Thank you for doing the best podcast on the internet! SKOL!!!
'14, '15, '16, '17 were some good Viking football years. Not the best, but an era where it seemed they drafted even pretty good backups. Watching Kirk Cousins led football teams the last few years reminds me of the mid-2000’s when they would piece together a motley crew of players and set sail to nowhere.
Exactly!
I need this show multiple times a week fellas. The support would be there
Best NFL show on RUclips baby!!!
You guys should start putting Boone on Judd‘s hockey show as the new Hockey whisperer.
You guys should do mean twits section. This was gold!😂😂
I absolutely love this show...keep the funny inside stories coming. That hour and change went so fast! 🔥
Somebody please buy Sirles a wooden sign to hang in his house but instead of your typical “Live, laugh, love” it says “Work,Life, Balance”.
Boone's description of the combine sounds exactly like military boot camp, whose purpose is to fuck with you to see if you can take orders for a few weeks.
I liked the old intro how he said "this is the o line committee
Fun show today guys. The Willie Beavers stories were hilarious. Looking forward to the combine episodes. My take on the "I don't work Tuesdays", is yea I wish he'd have shown up even if it's just a couple hours in the morning, but it all depends on how the rest of the team felt. If they were fine with it, then it's not our place to say anything. But if they did internally have an issue, then it's a different story. Seems like most of the other guys were okay with it, or it would have been out there that the players were pissed off. That being said, I'm ready for us to move on and draft our QBOTF, but if they do decide to keep him, I will still support the team.
One of the few sports podcast I've actually subscribed to. Keep up the great work!
I appreciate hearing the about the mentality of the team, and that you are coaching up the next generation of players. I wish there was more of that in life. Such a chasm between where you are and the participation trophy world.
Ron Johnson took a shot at you guys. No longer watching his show because of it.
Sadly Ron works for KFAN and wouldn’t speak positively about anyone who is considered competition
same. Seems like we both called out their BS!
@@JamieJamz Good point!
@@JamieJamzbut these guys also worked KFAN
WOOH my favorite podcast is back!
I tell everyone I know about this excellent podcast.
And up here in Atlantic Canada...word of mouth travels faster than Light.
Excellent work as always men!!!
I'm sooo ready for Kirk to be gone not for the 6 years of failure but his stans are so weird. They're grown ass men who act like kpop fans who are teenage girls
My thoughts exactly, it's so weird. Just tired of hearing Kirk's name
I can say the same thing about Kirk haters. Its super weird how obsessed they are with hating on him
lmaoooo so true
@@thorkagemob1297 The funny thing is, you consider anyone that just wants to move on from him a "hater" grow up bro
@@thorkagemob1297don't project your faults onto others.
Some people will never understand the Tuesday thing no matter how you explain it.
Kirk is the most calculated person I think I have ever seen. That's not a compliment.
Podcast Request: Hey guys, huge fan of the show. Since it’s Draft season would you guys be able to do film breakdowns on some of the top prospects in the Draft. I would love to watch Sirles and Boone breakdown the Top Defensive lineman like Jared Verse , Laitu Latu, Dallas Turner, Byron Murphy and many other prospects. I think people would really enjoy it.
It'd be great for those of us watching from outside the US, I've got next to no idea about the college game and it'd be great to get an idea of where all these people stand.
This is one of the most insightful and educational segments I've have ever heard about the NFL COMBINE WEEK.
Cordell Volson is the MAN! Id like to hear any story youre willing to share about a small town North Dakota boy transitioning to the NFL. Im sure it was a huge shift for him and there's gotta be a funny story in there somewhere.
This is honestly one of the best videos I’ve ever watched. An hour just flew by
Love the show and telling friends to watch..Would you have the guys go through what a typical day is like during the season. Is there a time you need to be there. How long do you get for lunch. What's the meeting schedule. When can you leave the facility, etc.
Imho I agree with the group here about Cousins. I don't know why the Vikings allow The Kirkster 24 hours off but they do. When you get paid $35 million per year--for a Part Time job--it is NOT too much to ask a QB to play football 7 days a week for 5 months out of the year. F#ck the "Workplace Balance BS. That might fly at a median level salary, but NOT if you get paid $2 million PER GAME.
Great podcast guys so entertaining and funny!
Cant wait to listen boys keep it up its gonna be a great week
Im so damn happy you guys episode are more than an hour and somehow PD are getting there too. Cant wait for the Draft Party🎉❤
Loved the show today, as I usually do but the energy today was superb. You guys say, what you know, Twitterati X'ers be damned and anyone that doesn't get it, can kick rocks. BTW, long time sub, but I think this is my first time commenting. Anyway, here's my Dumb Question: What usually unknown thing, occurrence, procedure or practice that you feel is surprisingly or exceedingly difficult or awkward to explain to football outsiders, such as family, friends or the average non-athlete? Also, what is their initial reaction when you tell them about it?
Absolutely amazing pod today fellas
Great show
Absolutely Love you guys ... I always look forward to the next podcast.. give us 5 days a week fellas ... SKOL
It's hilarious that the discussion has jumped into the surreal.
Love this pod. Keep it going guys. Absolutely hilarious.
Love this podcast!!!!
Keep it rolling!!!!
28:10 sounds like the combine is like bootcamp. Lol
This may be the best episode yet! The thing that comes through loud and clear is that the NFL is brutal….on the field….and as a business. The guys get it. The snowflakes don’t!
The NFL is a QB driven league. Kirk only has a few years left in his career, and isn't capable of taking a middling roster to the super bowl. Let's just get on with the process of rebuilding the team. Let Kirk walk for starters and if the Vikings think that they have identified a QB in this draft who they think can be their guy for the next 10-15 years, then do what you need to do to trade up and get him.
Oh yeah. It is that time again! No, not the combine. Another Oline Committee content drop!
Dumb Question/ Request: Hey guys, huge fan of the show.
Great show today
Next T-shirt run ... "Work Life Balance" in a circle with a slash.
You'll have 20k+ subscribers by the draft. Great content!
Dumb football question:
Why is long snapper such a unique position that requires a roster spot. Did Jeremiah or Alex ever attempt to long snap? Phil? (8th grade)
At 47:17 Sirles says he "can go hunting if I need to." Do they have not have grocery stores in Nebraska? Instead of the TV show Mountain Men, Sirles could start his own but call it Plaines Men.
38:58 I played hockey for a long time and fighting in the NHL is very much justified. If someone on the opposing team cheap shots your all-star player, then one of two things can happen. Either we're going to get our revenge by being dirty to the other team for the rest of the game (and taking penalties for it) or we're going to send our enforcer to beat the guys ass who cheap shotted our all star (5 min penalty for BOTH players). By having enforcers on the team who are fighting specialists (and who are legally allowed to fight during the game), it makes opposing players less likely to engage in dirty plays, knowing they'll have to answer the bell. Without fighting in hockey, it would be a much dirtier sport.
Boone doing his best to sound like an absolute psycho this week. That "what we do to rookies" segment was incredible.
The Kirkcrusaders are in a CULT
Sirles….general manager ..Boone Headcoach…Mackey .. team entertainment.. ..
If ya play for the team…ya gotta hang with Boone on street fighting for 3 mins…Super Bowl!😂😂
Kirk should be in the Hall of Fame, but with an asterisk explaining he is there for his contract negotiations.
Question for Sirles. As an agent, what is the anatomy of contact negotiation? How does the back and forth work? Why does it take so long? How fast can negotiations move if all parties are determined to get it done that night?
I'm with the Online crew on Kirk. 100 percent. Eff all those over sensitive crusaders.
17:51 because he's in Minnesota and everyone in Minnesota is programmed to defend people that are upstanding citizens. It's not about results for people its about being a good person
And blaming one guy for the failures of a franchise is lunacy. Saying “it’s because he takes Tuesdays off” is even more insane.
Dumb football question: Can we have J demonstrate a contract negotiation? How does it work? What are some crazy clauses / language teams try to put into contracts?
Sirles, check into OT Blake Larson from Augustana University. Absolute stud on and off the field.
Question. How many guys do you think will boost their Draft Stock at the Combine? Especially the ones that will push their Draft Stock into the 1st Round? JJ McCarthy is an easy one to see go from 2nd Round to 1st Round. As for the 40 yard, PLEASE get rid of the Whistle Happy guy that was there last year.
Dumb football question: How do incentives in contracts count (or not) towards the salary cap? Do teams just get to essentially keep the extra money for incentives that aren’t hit (similar to when teams fine a player)?
Rookie Jair Brown 49ers, had a slow 40 but has shown that "he can play Safety."
You gotta wonder if, during the 13-4 year playoffs, if some Tuesday prep had happened, if the ball doesn't get checked down on 4th and 8 for 7 yards and instead Jjets gets a chance at an "opportunity ball."
Please have an episode of this mystery of Kirk Cousins and this cult like following. In 44 strait seasons of never missing a live Vikings game I have never seen this hype for a player that hasn’t won anything significant. Is this related to religion?
We all lead with the same response, “Kirk’s a really nice guy, but….,..” His contract not the person is why we don’t want #8 on the roster anymore.
What's the off season like for NFL players? Is it hard to acclimate back to normal life? Also, do coaches ever break rules of off season?
Dumb question about free agency: what constitutes tampering prior to the window opening. Keep reading that Saquon is being targeted by the Texans but the reports I've seen only mention communication with Stroud. Is that tampering or a sneaky way around the rule?
I'm with #75 Cousins should show on Tues
Tbh I have heard stories of lots of veteran players taking days off, not just Kirk Cousins. Tom Brady, Ben Rothlesburger, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees have all said they take days off, usually Wednesday in the stories i read. I'm assuming that Kirk watches film at home and he works Mondays to help with the gameplan. Tbh I like both of u, thats why i watch the podcast but lots of players take days off(cuz there are lots of vets who do it not just qb's) and judging Kirk for it seems prejudiced to me. the other players said they did it for health more than cuz they wanted to spend time with their family, both reason are just as valid cuz I'm sure it helps Kirk rest his body as well
According to Kirk, he does zero football on Tuesdays. No film. No nothing. Those other guys you mentioned could potentially be watching film at home. With the amount of success they all had, I have a hard time believing they didn't watch film on their day off from the facility. Some vets don't come into the facility on a certain day but the assumption is that they're still doing something football related at home. I also wouldn't compare other positions to QBs. QBs have to put in the most work. They are the general out on the field.
dumb football question - do you remember the day you realized or someone told you, you were NFL material? What did it feel like? Did it change your mindset from "This is fun, it would be cool to make the NFL" to "This shit is actually real"
“I’ve won 3 playoff games“👀😭
I mean for 175mill work life balance can happen later. 😅 Ask a railroader what work life balance means.
San Antonio Brahmas. Boone has to take them right? A Rhino is close to a bull…👍
I wonder if teams are considering Kirk's me-time-Tuesdays in free agent contract negotiations
Calling it now, Patriots trade back, then draft another Michigan QB JJ McCarthy
AAA+ Show!
Dumb football question: With the horrible ref calls in the NFL and controversies that have happened in the past, why doesn’t the players association argue for the refs to be put through schooling and be paid better to make it the best product that it can be?
I don't give a shiz what Kirk Crusaders say, bye Kirk! Kirk trys to act like such a good dad and maybe, then goes to fill the greed of money contract! Such a hypocrite!!!
Sure, Kirk's Viking career > Boone's and it's not even close. IDGAF though, I'd headbutt a cop car before I'd willingly watch Kirk go balls out to win another off-season contract negotiation and take Tuesdays off while we miss the playoffs.
I will say if someone is a man of faith they must take their day of sabbath every week! 1 single day w/ zero work is MUST and a sin to not do.
Don't care. $30 million. God will understand.
Then he should check his pride and love of money. If he is a man of faith.
I have wondered if your a round 6 or 7 would you rather duck out of the draft and go down the UDFA route. At least that way you can control what team you go to
SENSITIVE SENSITIVE
Ding 🛎️
Eric liddell would run in the 100 m in 1924 because it fell on a Sunday it's a religious principle of keep one day out of 7 for rest. He said that when he was back in Washington
J is standing on business
You can’t win an argument against somebody who thinks with emotion instead of logic. Love the takes on Kirk! Great dude, not worth the money.
Roger Goodell =The Eye of Sauron
$30 for a Tshirt? Y’all must have CTE…😂
Mackey throwing low blows, “wyatt, im not sure he played in the NFL, but he has some opinions”
MACKEY YOU DIDNT PLAY IN THE NFL, IM NOT SURE YOU MADE YOUR HIGH SCHOOL TEAM, SO WHAY ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT BUDDY, THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK, BUT THAT WOULF REQUIRE BRAIN POWER
Ding, sensitive
Even though Kirk has no trade clause,, can we trade him before the deadline???
No
Kirk doesn't have a contract
that one twitter guy "Kirk made pro bowl" Yeah and? Kirk never played in a Superbowl and Boone did. Kirk needs to make to the playoffs and beyond first.
Kirk Cousins Wife: I don't know how our relationship would survive if Kirk didn't have off Tuesday.
Me: Oh, you mean how 99 percent of pro football players and their wives and family get by?
Or you know maybe how Alex and his family did just fine?
Funny how this is the most anti-Vikings podcast now when you guys would be the most excited to break down why they’re best in a given week.
No such thing as bad publicity. As a Ravens fan you know who is a nice, likeable QB that gets trashed by everyone on Twitter/X? Lamar Jackson
I was a Crusader when Kirk first showed up but now I want him gone. Not because I think he is bad but because he is not elite and demands to payed as such. You are not a top 10 Qb when you dont line up under center You are not top 10 Qb when you stand there like a deer in the headlights and not call a time out then after say its not my job You are not a top 10 Qb when you take a knee instead of spiking the ball and screw your team out of points. Maybe if he came in on Tuesday to address these issues they wouldnt happen during game time.
Dumb football question: For road games, do fire alarms going off in the middle of the night affect your play? Craziest road game story from your playing days?
Question for Mr.Sirles, at 26:20 you talk about players who don’t have agents. Why is it so uncommon for players to not have an agent? Wouldn’t it be more beneficial for the players to negotiate contracts themselves versus having to go through an agent?
MHJ skipping the combine screams head case to me. C’mon, this guy isn’t focusing on football during that time any more than any other day. He’s doing it to keep his stock value within the top 3-5. Everyone else is there trying to improve stock value and he’s sitting at home too good to show up. Just another receiver that’s a pre-madonna. You the best receiver in the draft? The combine should be cake for you. You could even walk out of there improving your value even more.
I don’t understand how fighting has a place in hockey. I love the UFC but it seems weird that they allow grown men to assault each other on a hockey rink. Am I missing something? Fighting isn’t part of the rules for hockey, right?
Alright!!!! Just started video but my guess is these 3 guys are gonna say some shit. Sirles wife retweeting the Cousins simps 😂
Imagine using "they never been a Pro Bowler" when the person using it never played in the NFL! 🤣What's worse... discrediting ex NFL players because they never been to a Pro Bowl or a person who never played in the NFL? C'mon ppl use your brains! It doesn't take an expert to understand that. To discredit them and to get butt hurt about ex players saying something you are against... it's just sad. Yes they human and can be wrong... but you can't say they're wrong about personal experience like seeing ppl take Tuesdays off for example! Basically it comes down to how much work you want to put in and ppl that have success, put in that work even if they can take the day off.
Dumb Question: Who's the worst, best, and pain in the a$$ player to block?
Very entertaining could do without the F bombs
Couldn't disagree more. One of the great things about this is it's authenticity. This show is like hanging out with your buddies who played in the league.
