Now the Hauler Bots would actually be worth it. Delivering such big amount on the basic drones with 1 per drone vs 10 per drone from haulers is a huge win.
This comment has been left on these videos like 300 times now in previous videos already.. What people need to stop and consider here, is that I do things when considering a macro/big picture plan, and part of that is prioritization. When I have a lot of things to build, will be tearing down and rebuilding things, lots of drilling to open up space, etc, the value of “hauler bots” is low on my list. I couldn’t care less how many resources are laying on the ground when I’m going to be moving machines and storage around all the time anyways (all of the stuff will then be placed on the ground, again).
Now that most production capacity is in their spots and things are flowing with belts, moving those items to the surface is a bigger deal, which greatly reduces travel distance for resources further. Still need regular drones for that extension of purpose on the base. Moving resources is again not as big of a deal as building and digging.
- now, however, as you said, they are becoming more “worth it.” When production is in place, building and tear down operations slow, and the majority of drone time is now spent on hauling instead of non-hauling tasks, their intrinsic value is greatly increased for that purpose.
However, white most of you are watching these videos back to back, with little lapse in time between them, I recorded these over 10 days ago, with plenty of family obligations between them. Forgetting the haulers even existed by video 7.
It will not be until 11 that they are implemented.
@@CharliePryor I strongly disagree, normal bots are just not meant for hauling. They would compensate their value by letting normal bots to do their job, which is building salvaging and mining. The contracts would be faster and you wouldn't struggle with getting them on time. I may be wrong, also this isn't criticism, just a suggestion/thought

Hey bud a quick suggestion you should look into cargo drones they move a ton more stuff than regular drones. Also for all the rocks on the ground you could be making more concrete if you setup a catch bin with belt leading to the machine so the drones can be more efficient. Great video by the way

Recommend you consolidate the 4 separate power grids it shows you have by streamlining all those wired connections between the solar panels and the batteries.

One thing I thought of while watching this was you could turn off the storages that the bots keep taking the resources from if they keep prioritizing the expedition center over the contracts, but sounds like you thought of that too
Yeah it’s just a lot of micro. It cuts them off from using that storage for construction as well, since they cannot access it for pulling things out now. From day 1, and this hasn’t seemed to change with patches yet, drone priority has seemed more like a UI button to press than an actual setting for them. It just doesn’t work as it should. I still get drones moving regolith on the ground into the storage there when at lowest setting, even when constructions are max setting. They simply will not build anything unless I flat out disable that thing.
Battery Upgrade 2 is above solar panel upgrade near RTG upgrade :) :) you have missed it and all your problem is batteries not solar panels!! good luck

It really makes me think that the doors of the living quarters in this game have those shield barriers like the ones shown on star wars thats probably how they are keeping the air pressure inside
I could be mistaken, but I thought you were able to purchase the different science points needed. I don’t recall what window it was in, but thought this was mentioned during one of the tutorials.

Time to salvage your small solar units. Upgrade uses less CPU. Increase power production.
i will recommend to do a one or to more contracts allow you to buy extra cargo vehicle and the required fuel to complete the current contract :)
i dont know if you allready know but you can make underground belts go in and out of a room

2nd comment ever. First was on Trapist (a game you got me to play) and I gave advice. This game looks awesome, but no experience. That being said, you mentioned (for a couple episodes) about the science. An earlier episode mentioned you can buy science for a limited time. That may be the play... (it was a middle top tab on something).
