Command & Conquer: The Tiberium Conflict (English Tiberian Dawn) is the first computer game in the Command & Conquer series. It was released in 1995 and contributed significantly to the establishment of the real-time strategy genre. Tiberian Conflict was also one of the first games to be released on two CD-ROMs due to the almost lavish video cutscenes at the time.
Background ###
The background story is set in an alternate world story in which a mysterious, fast-growing mineral reaches Earth from outer space. It is known as Tiberium after its location on the Tiber River (Italy), but according to Kane, it was previously christened by him after the son of the Roman Emperor Tiberius, Tiberius Drusus Julius Caesar.[6] Tiberium is able to extract important minerals and metals from the soil, making it very rich in energy. However, being in the vicinity of tiberium quickly ends fatally, as it is highly toxic to living things. Nevertheless, all nations are keenly interested in tiberium mining, as it makes it easy to extract the minerals extracted from the soil. An ancient sect, the Brotherhood of Nod, around the charismatic leader Kane, who also calls himself the "Messiah", has seized a large part of the Tiberium stocks by means of his private army and is now trying to seize world domination through mass media propaganda, terrorist attacks and military actions. The GDI, a multinational force of the United Nations, stands in Nod's way.
GDI Campaign ###
If you decide to join the GDI, you have to drive Nod out of Europe. You start in the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania), slowly fight your way through Eastern Europe (Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria), continue in Italy and Greece until you encircle Nod in the Balkans and the decisive battle takes place in Sarajevo in Bosnia. Depending on which of the missions you choose, you can also end up in other countries such as Germany or Hungary. However, this has no influence on the missions themselves. In addition, relatively many missions are mandatory, such as the amphibious landing in Greece.
Nod campaign ###
If you choose the Nod campaign, on the other hand, you fight against the GDI in Africa in parallel. From there, you start in Libya and "liberate" Egypt and West Africa first. After that, the fronts have become clear and neutral states practically no longer exist. Now they try to take Africa from the north, which they finally succeed in doing by destroying the last two GDI bases in South Africa. To top it off, however, you steal the access codes for the ion cannon and at the end of the Nod video you have the choice of which important (Western) building you want to destroy as a "sign of the GDI's oppression" (the Eiffel Tower, the Brandenburg Gate, the White House or the Palace of Westminster).
Confusion was caused by the fact that both ends were sometimes described as correct. It seems that Kane would die in the destruction of the temple in Sarajevo. He later becomes a character in the next part of the game series. The events of the African campaign took place before the events in Europe.

Vielleicht könnt ihr mir helfen. Als ich damals in den 1990er Jahren die ersten beiden Teile von Command and Conquer gespielt habe, da habe ich in den Hintergrundgeräuschen oft den Satz gehört "Return to me Elaine". Habe ich da etwas falsch verstanden? Oder ist das vielleicht eine versteckte Botschaft von einem der Programmierer an seine Ex-Freundin gewesen?

Ich finde den Vergleich vom Original und dem 2020er Remastered wo ich habe gigantisch.Das selbe würde bei Tiberian sun dem Nachfolger auch sehr gut funktionieren wenn es überaschenderweisse ein remastered bekommt zum 25 villeicht.
