For real. It's been over 2 weeks of investigation (and it's still not closed) for a simple DUI case. They should have all of the information by now. The CCTV, the alcohol level, the cops' report, his scooter's model and specifications, the distance he rode and Yoongi's declaration - the police should have had all that in a few days *max*. What more do they need? Why did they wait so long to interrogate Yoongi again?
They didn't share a single thing since this all started to deny the lies spread in the media. If the CCTV hadn't been shared, there would still be more and more articles published every day. No one will convince me that this is "normal procedure" and that they aren't dragging this case on purpose...

There only be 2 reasons for this
      1. They are riding off of Yoongi's popularity & letting him take this much heat for no reason which is fucked up
      2. The law itself is so vague & complicated that the people who are supposed to upheld & protect it are confused

He legit apologized so sincerely, got his license revoked, got fined, accepted any further legal investigation and punishment, all before even the news hit the public. Most of us saw his apology before we saw the news and we got so scared seeing the word "accident" only for it to turn out to be a scooter. This is something which should have been sorted within hours but it has been 2 weeks already and the police are saying it will take 2 more weeks atleast becuase they haven't even STARTED "investigating". All this is TOO much for a literal trip because of a sharp turn on a scooter. I don't even think he fell because of intoxication. This is too much and too ironic for a country that lets rapists and sexual harassers run free.

Nothing can convince me this “community” isn’t filled with a bunch of 15 years olds who would gag over a sip of white wine. They all were happy BTS enlisted bc they thought they’d disappear, yet all they’ve been doing the past two years is speak on BTS nonstop. Media is deranged bc the fans are also deranged. When these news broke out there were hundreds of tweets with thousands of likes enraged about how "if this was a woman her career would be over" "x had to leave their group for this but you guys are defending suga" "x had to apologize for dating but he gets out of this like its nothing" all while actively hating on Yoongi. Now, let's ask ourselves, why did that person have to apologize? Why did that other idol have to leave their group? Wasn't it because YOU guys were angry and felt entitled to it? Kpop fans are used to following those scandals like sheep and continuously bash artists for the tinniest issues, and instead of reflecting on why they should actually oppose to it they get angry that Armys are not jumping on the hate train towards Yoongi. If you feel like your favorite artist is being wronged, why don't you call it out instead of letting it happen? Why does it make you angry that we don't want Yoongi to face the same bullying you guys put other idols through? And the thing is, he is indeed facing it, but Army is loud enough to make even news channels apologize and take down the lies they spread. Kpop fandoms are used to seeing idols as a shiny replaceable product, they don't care about them as people, simple as that.

Not to mention the stupid scandal culture of South Korea is a genuine problem over there.
I am against drunk driving. I'm not a delusional ARMY who puts them on a pedestal and thinks that they can do no wrong (only tbf, they usually don't do anything wrong lol), I'm realistic. Should he have done that? No ofc not. Was I disappointed & scared? Sure. But he's human. He made a mistake, he gave a genuine heartfelt apology & promised it won't happen again and I believe that. It's really annoying how the news makes this sound way worse than it was, so when ARMYs defend him we are dismissed as delulu fan girls without brains blindly following cute boys 🙄 because the media makes it seem like he was blackout drunk driving a big ass scooter, endangering people around him, while we look like we are excusing horrible behavior. I do trust each of the guys though. He said it won't happen again and I trust that it won't. I believe his apology. I hope BTS isn't too badly impacted by this, & with yoongi's mental health issues, I worry about how he'll take the hate that people are spewing. 💜

"I'm tired of the public's lack of awareness. I'm tired that even the protests of South Korea's most beloved director are ignored. I'm tired of the South Korean K-pop content creators and online accounts trying to silence and shame the international opinion because their word is apparently the only valid one."
This is SO TRUE. Like i'm so tired of all of that despite being an Army for 8 years and knowing that BTS has gone through worse smear campaigns. This should be basically another normal day as a bts fan... right? I truly think it's impossible to get completely used to this sht bc you know, the guys are constantly targets of hate and defamation. And the thing is that yes, many people will probably not stop doing that anyway, but I know they are humans and I do care for their mental health. We know how much all the baseless rumors and malicious lies have affected them in the past and the fact the South Korean media has been so persistent in spreading this (probably on purpose) and how korean citizens are so hard to judbe bc they are heavily influenced by the media. It's heartbreaking.
I really hope Yoongi is doing okay and doesn't give a sht about it, but how can he ignore it when it's everywhere? I hope he knows that some k-armys and most of international armys don't believe that bullsht. Of course, we are not saying what he did was right, but come on, he was riding a scooter wearing a helmet, he did it for 500 meters, he was "driving" slow in the bicycle rail and he really fell in the entrance where he lives and stood up instantly. like it's not that deep but people exaggerated and made it seem like he was driving drunk a truck while running over people. YOONGI DIDN'T LIE.
I hope BigHit is suing too! It's most likely that k-media is not going to sincerely apologize for the damage and report the truth, and they will probably continue doing this another hundreds of times, but please let's not normalize this situation of hate and defamation bc it is not normal. Let's not stay in silence just bc a korean said that this sht is normal in their society bc it shouldn't! For something they already have blood in their hands.
Also, a couple of days ago we discovered that k-media was pressing other companies to stop the advertisements they have with Yoongi bc of this situation and a Samsung acc from other country believed in their lies. It's crazy how k-media is committed to keep ruining his imagine. Like this is really cyberbulling at this point.
However, yesterday we got the news that JTBC apparently will be investigated by Korea Communications Standards Commission, and the stated reason is the fake Yoongi CCTV aired in Newsroom!! There are expected disciplinary actions, possibly sanctions/punishment.
The leading wellness brand in South Korea, 'LINGTEA', announced through a statement that it will SUSPEND its advertising on all channels involved in the Yoongi controversy for presenting false information. They have also provided various discounts to support ARMY, so K-ARMY responded solding our several products 🔥
The situation It's getting better than we anticipated (not the apologies) bc Korean public after the real CCTV is finally switching in Yoongi's favor, annoyed at excessive news about a scooter, criticizing kmedia for incompetence and bullying, and comparing it to the president getting 4 serious charges but much less coverage. Also doubting the trucks wreaths that have been sent to Hybe and the hashtags of the "sugachallenge" suspecting it to be anti work!

9:30 that was my same exact question. Cause it felt crazy to see how everyone wanted to bring up accidents caused by these electric kick-boards but nobody wanted to show any stats or breakdowns as to what the causes are. So when I looked it up, I saw that majority accidents were due to people not wearing helmets or because the device itself malfunctioned. So why was that even being brought up if drinking wasn’t even one of the main causes? That was an eye opener to the agenda they were trying to create against YG.
Like most Koreans have admitted to not even knowing that was a law just like YG who’s had his license before that law was even made.
Kmedia and antis just wanted to spread lies and think we were gonna just let it happen and not check or do research ourselves. Overall my main concern has been Yoongi’s mental wellbeing, so I just hope he sees the love and support surrounding him and remember that he’s a human being cable of making mistakes. We just need it be June 2025 already

The fact that an olympic-level korean baseball player also just got a dui a couple days ago, where he caused an accident with his car, but this is barely getting any media coverage, just shows me how performative this outrage is.
And it also debunks all these kpoppies trying to gaslight on how much the korean gp actually cares abt duis on their own. Bc the lack of reaction debunks the popularity/status argument, too. Sports is generally more popular than kpop in SK, and this guy is an Olympic athlete.
This just shows me that k-media and kpop fandoms are just hyperfixating on Yoongi, solely. They don't actually care abt duis at all.

The fact that this situation isn’t over is insane, apparently this weekend suga will be questioned by police and if that happens it’s very likely that reporters will swarm him with questions, paint him to be some terrible person, and shove cameras in his face😑 getting on a car or scooter while drunk is wrong but kmedia/the kpop community has blown this out of proportion, just a few days ago a Korean baseball player got a dui and actually had an accident and what was Koreans/kmedia’s response? They showed sympathy for him, were on forums sending him the best of wishes, feeling bad for him, and kmedia didn’t cover this on the news and there were barely any articles on his situation, it’s pretty obvious that there is only outrage, hatred, harassment, misinformation spread by kmedia and the kpop community when bts is involved.🥴 I mean look at people reaction to a celeb that actually had an accident versus a bts member not hitting anyone, not k!lling anyone, and not hitting any property. Knetz and kpop stans don’t care that the mental health of a celeb who is harassed by people online and having the Korean media against them. They don’t care that their actions could cause a celeb to exit this world until the celeb has passed, look at what they did to the parasite actor who the media lied about and knetz left terrible comments to. Look at gdragon who was lied on by the police and Korean media, Koreans calling him a druggie, making videos overanalyzing his behavior and linking it to substances, the media and police didn’t take accountability when the tests came back clean, he was used to cover another scandal.

"Unconcerned about the fact, and killing anyone not on the same side is what today’s justice is" no better time than now to stream "polar night", i guess. yoongi said all there is to say when it comes to stuff like this in that song, really.
this shit got me so mad. i hope yoongi is doing okay right now, but i know this shit must be stressful. i know he's strong, and we're strong too. we've been through worse, but still, he and army got hurt by this, and that is unforgiveable. all of this is ridiculous and so unnecessary and makes me want to give up on humanity entirely. imagine apologising and only telling the truth, and yet all you say, or don't say, keeps getting twisted. he probably knew it too, the moment it happened, that this would be made into something much, much bigger and spiral out of control.
this is why i don't believe anything concerning tannies unless they say it themselves. yoongi's letter had been all i read before everything else happened-- and that was where i left it. because the past and all of bangtans previous "scandals" (ridiculous) has taught me better and to not trust anyone but them. it's always been like this. yoongi had already said all there was to say, period. we should give back all they gave us by trusting them and taking their word as is, it's the least we can do.
