Its just me or does she really look like kendall jenner?
Not impressed honestly. After watching this I checked out a few of her songs one of which being “god must be doing cocaine” I clicked cuz let’s be honest, that’s an interesting line by its provocativeness (is that a word?? lol) but was not intrigued by the rest of the lyrics. It was like a short essay of concerns an average American millennial wrote in 10 minutes ya know. And I get that the melody was probably intended to be mild yet satisfying but it was just underwhelming on top of the lyrics. Idk. What did y’all think though? Did y’all find the “simplicity” refreshing or some shit? Honestly interested in a musically seasoned opinion cuz it’s the holidays and I’m bored.
Also I think billie eilish definitely popularised the idea of having “provocative”/“woah, that’s a weird title (*read that with surfer boy accent and you’ll get it*) thing. E.g. bury a friend, I wish you were gay, etc..(can’t think of any more on top of my head, cuz oops u caught me, not big fan but shoutout to her success, work queen) and don’t get me wrong that can work and has worked (obviously it did for billie lol), but damn, sometimes that’s all it is, a cool “bait title” , and then the song is not shite, but mediocre and slightly catchy at best, which I think is the case for god is doing cocaine. anywhoot
