I like all the designs. I prefer my female fantasy figures to be more of the witch/warlock type then the red sonja type but its not a bad design they came up with for her.
I don't hate it but feel stretched a bit thin of late, transitioning from main line collecting to more Indy focus has my hands in a lot of cookie jars. I'll probably wait to see how these turn out first.
I do like the look of these beefy barbarian raiders as well as being a supporter of start up toy companies. While I do have confidence in their design abilities, I'm not 100% in on their ability to actually get these produced. They launched without even having a painted prototype. Plus this campaign is missing the little extras like coins, comics and digital download content that pad out final goal. good looking figs but launched prematurely.
I think the females are roided up, is to separate them from Combatants, LooseCollector, Tigra (Fire and Ice) and other voluptuous female figures. It definitely is one of a kind in the market right now. Part of the lore is everyone is roided up on this world.
to be fair, the storm collectible one came with a pretty big Dragon, so if we believe that Dragon is worse $50, that means the actual figure of the barbarian is only 70 bucks. Still a lot of money, but it's bigger than most of the beef cakes out there and comes with more, accessories or alternate body parts? I do agree storm collectibles is stupidly expensive considering the construction and they use that soft shell, rubber body, but generally speaking, you do get a lot for what you pay.
I'm going to argue the Golden Ax dragon mounts are $70 and the figures are $50 but either way, the only way they could get the price of the figures up over $100 is to package it with the mounts. If they had sold the figures without mounts and included say 1 weapon/accessory for around $30, I would have bought all 3. I still play Golden Ax on my Steam account. Thanks for the comment. @@ActionFigureAtorium Hehehe, the way Storm prices things, $30 wouldn't even get a figure leg ROFL. Well, okay maybe both legs, but yeah, this is why I usually only get Storm COllectibles a couple times a year and only the real big figures.
My 2 gripes with those Brutal Realm figures is they look kinda cartoony and are small next to the Frank Frazetta inspired figures out there and all those Conan the Barbarian figures coming up next year wich are in the 7 inch league.
I assume the parody with He-man and Conan is intentionally but to me it's kinda dull? Like if I wanted He-man or Conan, I would of bought a figure of the two by now. At least Ogun look original. That being said, overall I'm not interested so it's a skipped from me. Do liked the look of the bad guys mainly the minion but I doubt I will pledge.
